I for one am glad YOU posted this and brought this issue back to the top of the forum  (I bet you wish you'd kept your mouth shut huh? ):ladywinks |
 I can't understand why people are still buying puppies from places like this. Good grief! Sometimes I think people research which new cell phone they should get more than a puppy who will become a member of the family for the next 15 years. :( |
To All I am the customer Dolle speaks of and she does not have all the facts and you have all just jumped and went to town here. There is nothing shady here about not using the web site we were looking for yorkies for along time and just started this to read a post and never used it. I did use it when I was alerted to the comments being made here about the breeder and my situation. I know you all care deeply for dogs and we value your imput I just feel this has gotten way out of hand. |

When someone says "we value you input" it conveys a sense of being associated with the business. Most customers don't do that. I'll take you at your word when you say that you are "just" a customer, but you can see how what you are saying seems to contradict it's self. If you had a good experience with them, then great. If someone else sees a problem, then it is their right to speak up and say so. Only Admin and the Mods can decide if a thread is closed unless the OP specifically requests it. Again, Caveat Emptor. |

I would just like to say I have a very strong reason to believe she is actually part of the business... but if indeed she is a customer, why did you change your story from "we are dealing with issues... you're making it much worse" to saying that everything was totally fine and you like pbp's pups and that their dogs are healthy? Which is it, if there are issues going on shouldn't you say what so that anyone in that area looking to purchase can either be put at "ease" about buying or stopped from buying a lemon? |
 I'm starting to think that no one is being completely upfront here. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/blogs/dolle/ |
!!!! I'm in shock now, and I think we're all confused. So who's the customer... lol Dolle or MMJWestling? Or are they both customers? Ugh now how are we supposed to help or give input when there are two different customers, and both customers have told two diff stories. I.E. MMJ said they were going through problems with Pocketbook and that this was making things worse. Then said there where no problems at Pocketbook's... Dolle said they were asking on behalf of a friend. Now we see they were an actual customer. hahaha what a bunch of crock we have going on. |

Well regardless of who is who and what is what. I would say pbp website speaks for itself. Teacups, ill proportioned pups, the fact she sells girls who would make excellent breeders etc etc... Hopefully someone will look at their site and with knowledge they have gained here or elsewhere they will pass it by. |
Pocketbook Pups - Yorkshire Terriers - Puppies "All three puppies have two socks on the back feet. Soo cute!" Here she brags about the fact that the pups have white socks on their back feet... I thought the ONLY white markings on a true well-bred yorkie was a small white spot on the chest if that? Can someone clarify that for me please? |
There could be "parti/beiwer" genes in one the male or females... also a flaw when it comes to the AKC standard that she states on her website lol. She also states all pups are AKC reg. but then go to the pups and she has a litter that indeed can not be reg'd because she doesn't have the sire/his papers. |

Scroll down and see where she says that Thelma's first litter (FIRST LITTER) were born at the vets because they were on vacation. Glad there was a vet but if this dog was a loved member of the family wouldn't you want to be there for the first litter? At least I think I would.....maybe I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill on this one. It just rubbed me wrong. |
Hi, I'm Kerrie Engelmann, owner of Pocketbook Pups. We breed and sell AKC Yorkshire Terrier Puppies which include teacup yorkies and standardyorkshire puppies. They are all different and special. Wait 'till you get one. You're going to love them! So sad and comical at the same time. This site is almost like a freaken parody to be true. :( |
Is this for real? Or are we being toyed with??? Cause the whole 'pocketbook' angle along with all the cutsey names to reference money . . sounds like a whole lotta red flags! |
So basically what it's starting to look like: OP doesn't have a "friend", it was she who bought a sick pup, and then PBPs claims to be the "friend" she is talking about and asks not to post bc making situation worse, and then PBP states they are a satisfied customer who knows returned sick pup is not being sold. I'm not sure if I got it all, but this is what I got. Maybe I'm missing something here? |
IMHO: The moral & solution to the story are: -do your homework. -know the red flags. -don't ignore the red flags. -try to learn from others mistakes unless you have proof things are different now. -do not believe for one minute that a micro, mini, teacup, pencil tip or any other "extra petite" named type of yorkies even exists. -learn the breed standards. -learn what is expected out of a reputable breeder & a reputable puppy purchasing transaction. -use common available knowledge as well as common sense to add to this list. |

Wow just came across this thread. Fun stuff to come home from work and read.Anyway...My opinion, heh, Mjj or whoever you are I know you have an M and J in your name. But uh yeah, pretty sure you're some how affiliated with that breeder. However, if you're not then excuse all of us for accusing you to be so. However, let us take the time to educate you. There is no such thing as a teacup Yorkie. Dogs, hopefully as you know can vary in sizes, however, the AKC does not recognize the "teacup" Yorkie because basically let's face it, when you make something that small it's bound to have health problems. Even in humans, medically diagnosed dwarfs usually have more health problems then someone of the normal height ranging from 5'6 to 6 foot. Msdically, their issues range from liver issues, under developed organs, heart failure, etc. Gee sounds alot like some of the issues I hear about with regards to really small Yorkies. Now I'm happy you got a good dog from them. Hey, I'm with you in that boat, my furbaby is from a BYB/Puppymill too and I've had little to no health problems with him. And he's as happy as a clam when it comes to personalities. However, statistically, this is not the case with dogs from BYB/Puppymills. So now, let's put our little thinking caps on. You have heard of the show hoarders right? Well, many times in that show it's discovered that the people have in access of pets that they can't take care of. 20 plus dogs, I don't care who you are or how many acres you have, is in access. No person or people can take care of that many dogs and monitor their health. Now I hope you have your thinking cap on because we're going to do some math.... Breeders that mention a breed that's looked down upon by AKC, have multiple dogs and litters, and they're releasing their dogs before 12 weeks... If you guess BYB/Puppymill you should give yourself a big cookie. Please, God gave you a brain. Use it. Don't support these people. Dolle- I don't understand what you're talking about so I'm not going to comment. |
Ok, I thought I figured it out; now I am more confused. Found this post about "pocketpus" on another thread just now. It's by dolle about a "friend". http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...3-hacking.html |
The constant misspelling of the kennel name is curious, too. Maybe you make a typo in one or two posts, but each one???? IDK |

Seeing as how Dolle went on a "commenting" spree on random posts the past couple days saying in poor english "don't buy from pocketpus" in random threads, maybe Dolle is just trying to start something? Although MJJ or whoever the other person is didn't have a good story either. Who knows right? I guess we live and learn, hopefully some people will learn from this like Princess10 said. |
Well remember that one time a yt'er was fighting with herself on different accounts? Maybe she's back LOL. |

Here's what I think: MMJWrestling IS or is affiliated with pocketbookpups and is making up stories to protect their name. That's why they said "we're currently working through problems with pbp". Ya, you're working through problems with Dolle and the sick puppies you sold her. I don't believe for one second that you are the "friend" Dolle speaks of - that makes no sense at all, why would she come here asking for advice about sick dogs if there were no sick dogs? Dolle - there's no "friend", the puppies are hers and she was too embarassed to say so. Well, I hope you can get your money back and that you learned a very important lesson here and I pray for your poor innocent puppies and that they get the medical attention they need. I could be wrong, but having been following both threads, this is the only thing that makes sense to me. To MMJ, whoever you are, there's no point what so ever in defending pocketbookpups, we're not stupid and I'd shut that place down with my own hands if I could:mad: Just rediculous and the poor sick dogs are the victims. |
