Lawdy lawd.....thank God i have little girls (female yorkie and cat):p. The most I have to worry about with her is making sure her little butt is cleaned. This would of must definitely freaked me out, although I once had a masturbating male cat who was neutered. He used to get it on with my socks. |
How big is your boy.... I had my little guy neutered when he was 6 months and was pretty tiny can't remember exactly but he was def under 3lbs. I just found a great vet who knew ALOT about small dogs. He's done a lot of procedures/deliveries for my breeder and her clients, all of her local clients keep him as a vet. He has saved many a tiny lives, and I trust him entirely with my boy. Find a vet like that and you're fine. Just wanted to encourage you that while it is scary and I was a nervous wreak for the process, it all turned out well. Glad all has gone back to normal with your boy... aren't little boys sooo much fun ;) |
keep his hair short that helps, glad its better chester has had the same issue k y does work |

Hahaha it's not funny but it is... I had a pomeranian that had this happen back in November. He would NOT stop humping the head of a 200lb lab/mastiff and finally it just got stuck! I kid you not this pomeranian was 7-8lbs and his erection was at least 6 inches long! It was SICK... but on a more serious note.... This is called paraphimosis, when the "knots" used to lock in during breeding dont go back in and IS serious. Hopefully you've taken him to the vet by now... if it is stuck out like that for more than 24 hours the risk of loosing his penis becomes greater and greater because circulation is being cut off and will eventually cause severe damage. We took out boy to the vet and they had it put back in about 5 min. And gave him some pain relievers... he was totally fine because we went asap. |

yeah you can give them a good 4-5 hours to take care of it on their own, it happened to our Haanz at night around midnight so we gave him til 6am when the vet opened. lol even though it's serious after the 4hour mark... we had a good laugh at him. |
Just wanted to update that after he got it back where it belongs....we have had no further issues it so far. Fingers crossed it was a one time thing! I wish I could say the same for another issue that began after that one. Louie is miserable and obviously having some type of anal situation. After a vet visit this morning I am even more concerned for my baby. I posted about it in the health forum for anyone who might be able to offer some advice. Thank you all! |
