If you call the AKC they can change the name if you want. I did it when I registered Dash a few weeks ago.

Steve, I always notice your threads because my little guy's name is Basil as well & you don't see that much. I'm guessing that with you being a marine (and from his registered name) that your boy was named after John Basilone. Am I right? My great, great aunt married John's uncle Alfonse and I heard John Basilone stories the whole time I was growing up!

Honest to Pete. In fact, if Steve messages me with his email, I'll send him an article from our local paper from the '40's. It's about John visiting with his relatives in our area when he came through on the war bonds tour.

I just love a good love story. As much as this pains me to say this....:p but she is a lucky lady, not a lot of men would fall for yorkies and have 3 of them!!! As I always say only a strong man loves animals, and even a stronger one when they can fall for a small dog. My hubby also likes to take them in the store (chick magnets):D

Basil and Caper are full brothers. Caper is adjusting, and Basil's leg is coming along great. We had them both sitting with us in the family room last night. Naturally Maxine wanted nothing to do with them so she was at the end of the couch. Carlo went to the corner where one of his beds are, and the 2 brothers played. We had to keep them on leaches as we still can't have Basil running on his leg for a few more weeks, and did not want Caper loose as he is not housebroken yet.

Marge left this morning for Michigan. I know all dogs will go out of their way today to keep me moving! Carlo has to go in for a blood test in a few hours. I need a nap and it is not even 8 am!

I have all 4 of them in the Office, and all are sleeping. Quiet time! Marge picked out the name Caper. I wanted to call him Brother! Out voted again.At least I got to name Basil (Basilone) and Carlo (Carlo)

I am glad my Mom named me. My Father wanted me named Rocco or Mario. Thanks Mom!

I start counting now, get to 40, and forget where I was and have to staert over. Somewhere around 50 now. . We have a lot of beds, a lot of beds.

I'm so excited! Loved that first picture of Marge and Casper, recognized that den she was in immediately... Lucky boys to have such a wonderful family. Mrs. G thinks so highly of Marge and is looking forward to getting to meet you. Can't wait for all the stories when Basil is able to run free with his brother...Should by fun!!! Getting a This Time is not an easy task, they go only to special people and you and Marge definitely fall into that category!

Thank you Mary Ann. We know, we are very lucky. Mrs G is a special lady, and Marge loves her. can't wait to meet her in the not too distant future. I really do need a hog hunt in TX, and then can stop in.

Caper is adapting. He is just like Basil, always wanting to run and have fun. I take him out every hour hoping he gets the hint! Eventually he will. Basil seems a bit more dominent, but he has been here for almost 3 months.
