Both my babies sleep with me and the DH.....at bedtime my Dh like to cuddle and as soon as we do.. Timba and Maggie try to bully themselves in between us.... and guess what they always WIN.....;) |
Ohhhh me me me! Our little yorkie Tikka is allowed in our King size bed, but our pomeranian Pooter has to sleep next to the bed on the floor because my husband wont allow him in the bed since he sheds and our comforter is a deep red so you can see all the sable orange hairs lol. He doesn't mind though, he is much less needy/much more independent. Tikka LOVES it, she sleeps between us just like a human. She lays on her side facing away from me and has the covers up to her front shoulders and stays like that ALL night long... she literally thinks she's human! Every once in awhile she sleeps in a ball form but usually just like a human covers and all! <3 During the day when she wants a nap she takes the liberty of using the bed as her own as well, where as Pooter hangs out in the kennel on his own lol. |
Lucy is the best snuggler ever. She doesn't move much; but she's smart and knows she's small ~ so if YOU move, she's making sure she's not in the way. She rarely gets up in the middle of the night and she's just my little snuggle bunny. |

Welcome to YT!!! |
Our baby sleeps with us. Hubby started it, he never let any of our others dogs sleep with us. He spoils this little one like crazy. If I knew he liked Yorkies so much I'd got one long ago.:D |
One of ZoE's nicknames is snugglebug cos she's such a lil snuggler. She loves cuddling and sleeps with her head on my shoulder and often nuzzles her nose into my neck. If I roll over onto my side, she snuggle right up against my back. I love it! I am wondering how much I'm gonna love it in the heat of the summer though...lol |
@ytjilly thanks I just got her I used this site to help me find out more about the breed before purchasing... looooove her! and same with my husband he isn't a big fan of Pooter and wasn't a fan of our chihuahua neither of them are allowed in bed but with tikka he actually calls her into bed with us and let's her lick his face and she sits on his lap at the table. <3 |
All my dogs have bedtimes, that was so weird to me. Teddie is no different, he goes to bed at the same time every night and pretty well stays asleep with us with little to no movement. He sleeps in between me and the DH, he always has to go over and lick DH before he lays down and goes to bed. I think it's cute! :p Most of the time he sleeps with us, every once in a while he just wants to sleep next to us in his bed on the floor. Love it!! |
Oh yea, both my westie and lil fur butt Bella sleeps in Bed with us. Unfortunately I am the one in the middle, lol. It's all good though. I wouldn't be able to sleep without them. |
Im a tummy sleeper and dont move. Bobbi used to sleep on my back as a pup. Aja snuggles on my hakr. I love it. |
Bella started off in her crate until about 3 and a half months then she slept in the bed with us. About a month ago she started doing this weird thing. When we go to bed, she'll jump up and give us our good night kisses, then head under the bed. Its pretty tight down there...she has to wiggle on her belly (although it's funny when we're playing with her down there...she can move fast on her belly..she looks like a little bug) but then sometime during the night, she ends up coming back in bed and burrowing under the covers. We can't figure out why she does this. And sometimes when she goes under the bed, she'll growl and yip a little which we can't figure out what that means either! |

I have 6 that sleep on the bed with me and 2 who prefer to sleep in their own beds. They own half of the bed and they all have their preferred sleeping spots. 3 of them sleep under the covers with me every night. I call them my little bed warmers as they sure do keep me nice and warm, lol. I've trained them all from the time they were pups. They were either crate trained or wore a diaper until I knew for sure they wouldn't ever have an accident on the bed. It has worked out great. It's funny because they know the phrase "ready for bed" and they get so excited to hear it. I never knew dogs could be so excited to go to bed, lol. |

Since we've only had Oliver for 8 whole days now, he's in his crate. As soon as I'm 100% sure of his house broken-ness he'll be in our bed. He'll have to fight off the cat for the prime spot next to my head though  |

Mina sleeps in her little bed next to my pillow, but she doesn't stay there. She somehow ends up on my pillow (nose to nose). When she is wiggly I swaddle her just like I did my children and she goes right to sleep. |
Belle and Oliver both sleep in bed with me. Belle is either on my pillow right behind my head or snuggled up next to my chest. Oliver likes to be near me, but not touching me when sleeping. He is usually down at the foot of the bed. Before Belle came into our family I had several cats also sleeping in the bed, but she gets very territorial at night and has chased them all away! |
Always Gracie has slept with me from the first night. I put her carrier on my bed to try to sooth her the first night. I ended up caving in and letting her sleep on a blanket next to me. During the night she got up and went in the carrier and went pee, then came back out and went to sleep next to me again. From then on I put her framed pee pad at the bottom of the bed and she used it when necessary during the night. She is old enough now not to need her potty on the bed anymore. She has her own doggy steps that she climbs up on the bed with. They certainly save me a lot of leaning over to put her up and down. She loves to get under the blanket when she is feels cold. I know this is all contrary to how most dog trainers would tell you to train your dog, but it has worked well for us and I enjoy having her close to me. |
All of mine have slept with me since the day I got them. I was lucky we never had any accidents in the bed. We have a king sized bed and some days I swear that was not big enough, even tho they were 2 1/2 pounds, 4 pounds and 10 pounds. Now we only have the one she is 10 pounds and still there are some days I think even a king size bed is not big enough for Her Royal Highness. I end up with my hubby on my side of the bed me usually on the floor by morning, my hubby tells me "Pixie pushed me over" I realy "she is 10 pounds, you are 270 and you are trying to tell me she PUSHED you?" he insists she does. I do not believe him somehow LOL. Lately since the loss of our little boy she will come to bed for treats then as soon as treats are gone she goes to sleep in the laundry basket in our room as long as there are clothes in it. I work days and hubby works nights so she comes to bed with me at night and then in the morning when Daddy goes to bed she goes with him as well, altho during the day she leaves after treats and comes downstairs. I would not have it any other way!!! |
All three of mine sleep w/me...Mine weigh 4, 5 & 6 lbs., and we sleep on a queen sized bed;I have no room...what'sup w/that lol... |
Teddi sleeps right between our pillows at the head of the bed and has since night one...we tried the pen in our room next to the bed and that lasted all of 10 minutes!:p Now he herds me into the bedroom when he's ready to go...:D |
My Gracie would paw at the top of the covers by my shoulder until I would lift them up and let her get under the covers with me. She died a year and a half ago. I still really miss her. |
Chibi loves to sleep in the middle of me and bf. He has his own stair case so he can get into bed. He snuggles under the covers. BF always says Chibi pushes him off the bed but I don't think my little angel would do that |
bella loves to sleep in the bed with us, we bought her a large dog pillow to put beside the bed too, bella sleeps anywhere aslong as its in the same room as us, shes a good dog when it comes to sleep time, she will sleep all through the night no problems :) |
I started letting Thor sleep in bed with my hubby and I and the first few nights he laid down at the foot of the bed and there he woke up the next morning. Lately my husbands restless legs bother him and he starts out in the bed then wakes me up to get him down so he can sleep in his crate. It's funny, the crate is next to my side and I dont even close the door he just goes in there and stays there. Some nights I wish I could do that so that I could get some sleep LOL. |

Monkey starts off under the covers nestled in tight against me but is always on top of the covers by morning. That poor baby always wakes up looking like he just landed on the wrong side of the bed with the most wild hairdo. Also, Monkey always wakes up quite crotchety ready to hit the snooze button where as Maddie is excited to start her day! |
