It is obvious that you love this little guy whether he is a full blood yorkie or not. However, I do think if you paid for a yorkie then the breeder should make it right with you if he is not. But I must say he is a cutie pie!! I looked at your album and he is adorable!!! :) If your test shows that he is a mix I would definitely make the breeders name well known! |
I also looked at your baby's profile. Their was something about the coloring in his face that makes me think he might be a mix. Also his body hair loked curly and his tail was real long. My first thought was maybe a shih tzu mix? Then I saw some other posts about the possibilty of a poodle mix. That makes more sense to me. He certainly is a little doll baby. If he had poodle in him as well as yorkie then he is not going to shed. When I first got Suzi she was not pappered . So now she is a little bigger then the typical Yorkie, and has a salt and pepper coloring on her back, her face has now turned gold, but on the top she is very sooty color. When I got my Shih Tzu , she was full AKC. The breeder had the papers right then and there. All I had to do was mail it in. I think your puppy is adorable even if he turns out to be a mix. BUt, if you paid through the roof to get him, then I would be very angry. If you did the DNA testing and found out for sure , and he is not a pure bred, and the breeder put it down in writing that he was, then I believe you could take her to small claims court. For misrepresentation of the breed, and you might get your money back, or at least partial payment refunded to you. |

Thank you so much Kendra! Him being a mix doesn't affect how much I love him just like if my parents race or ethnicity were different I'm sure he wouldn't love me any less either LOL :D I've also been following your posts about Mac I wish you the best of luck with him and Bevo! |

I would hang on to that just in case. You never know if you will need it. And who knows, maybe he is one. But regardless, you will love him either way. :) |

Yes I will hang onto it and I've loved him since the moment I held him (so corny) but true :D |

Not corny at all!! :D:D My family thinks I am a nut because I treat Rosie just like a child. :) I can honestly say I never thought I would love a furbaby so much. So, not corny, your just a good momma! |

Hahaha! Too funny cause my mom does the same thing! She calls Bella her Grandogger! :D I just wanted to tell you that Totoro is beautiful! I'm not sure at this point it matters what I THINK about him being 100% Yorkie though. The only true answer to that would be to have him DNA'd. When you first got him he looked so much like my Bella did! However, she has underwent substantial coat and facial changes from then. LOL Not sure he is following suit?! He is a bit younger than her though, so IDK? She started her coat changing process at around 4 1/2 mos I think? She is STILL going through it! LOL It IS possible though, not all Yorkies are the same. He may just be a late bloomer. :p |
Adorable! What a face, the pictures are wonderful! Sorry you were taken advantage of as far as purchase, but you did get a cutie in the end. Hope he remains happy and healthy! |
Honestly, If you had a paper or a test in hand proving or disproving what his blood line is...Would it truely change anything? . Do you have the dog that you held in your arms and wanted to buy? Does that paper really change anything? I know my girl's papers have sat in a filing cabinet...and have not done anything for the way I feel about her. I love her for her character... and who she is as a pup. Not a piece of paper she came with. Save your money... a DNA test will do nothing. If this woman was dishonest enough to lie to you about the dogs lineage.. I doubt she is going to shell out part of the selling price back to you. Why put more money into something that will not change how you feel about your little guy? But ...that is just my opinion. |
