i think i might just do that.. small introductions sounds good.. i just dont want the puppy to have culture shock.. or feel overwhelmed.. and she wont be unsupervised for awhile.. i cant wait to meet her in person!!! haha i cant sleep im so excited! i just pulled out the baby name book.. but im still hooked on the name Lucy for some reason.. and Lucy means person who brings light.. i think its cute.. plus when i come home i can say "Luccccyyy im hoommee.." haha

I know the excitement you are feeling. I couldn't wait to bring Calleigh home either. Lucy is a very cute name. Once you see her, you'll know if the name fits her. Can't wait to see some pictures of your new pup. It sounds like you have had a lot of good advise here. Just be sure not to walk her on a collar when she is able to go outdoors. Always walk her with a harness and leash. I didn't know any better when I first got my pup. She will be the love of our life!!! :)

Thanks! i just got home from shopping.. so far i got.. puppy pads.. dog food and dog treats (that the breeder recommended).. a leash and harness.. a little outfit for when she gets a little bigger(haha couldnt resist).. tons of toys!! shampoo.. tooth brush and tooth paste.. thats just today haha.. i also decided not to do a crate.. but what i did decide is to put up my daughters old playpen with some cosy blankets for when needed.

Not done shopping yet.. but so far so good!

wow thats really cute!! but im not good with wood haha.. i was just going to get some cute fabric and make her a soft bed.. haha.. i already set up her playpen!! im such a nerd.. she wont be here till saturday and everything is already all set up for her!

I have been reading alot of the article in the YTlibrary. LOTS of information. I found a free PDF file on grooming that you can download. There are also articles on making a doggie firstaid kit.
I have used a pac n play before and really liked it. I found a tiny bowl and water set in the cat department of the petstore.
Congrats!I am so excited for you. Be sure to post pics when your baby get settled in.

Taryn haha.. i knowww im so bad! you know where i found super cute outfits.. you will never believe it.. The dollar store!!!! i was really suprised they were sooo cute!! i'm trying to hold myself off on buying alot of clothes because shes only like 2lbs right now.. shes suppose to only grow to 5lbs.. but you never know.. but its soo hard.. i went to petco the other day and the outfits there were adorable!! little bows too..

@ MyLiFriend.. i also have been taking super advantage of all the articles on YT.. (thank god for this site) i'm glad to hear you had a good experience with the playpen bc your the first person i have met that has used one.

but all in all i got the basics but.. there will be much more shopping soon enough haha.. i cant help myself its like preparing for a new baby! i love it!

Cannot wait to see more of your Lucy! I love the name and it has so many wonderful derivations for nicknames for your baby. I'll bet you are too excited to sleep but try to get some while you can as the first night or two can be a bit sleepless - but still fun(to me). Your excitement is infectious and makes me wish I were shopping for a lil' one to go with Tibbe!!!

THANKS !! you have no idea.. i've blown my budget for right now.. but im still window shopping for my next splurdge!! right now i have the playpen set up and then i went threw my daughters old stuff and took her bouncer up (did a couple of adjustments) and now its a doggy bed.. haha.. but what im eventually going to do is i have a doll bed (made out of wood) in my basement, im going to sand it down and paint it to match my room and get a nice matching cusion, blanket and pillow for it for her. it looks just like a minature real bed with the head and foot board. but for now if you walk in my bed room it looks like a had a newborn! everyone thinks i've lost my mind!! i dont care thou.. it makes me happy to know that she is coming here to nice comfy areas of her own.

Congratulations on your new baby!! We actually used a playpen for a bit just so we could keep an eye on Teddi for the first two months.
