I cannot believe I am getting ready to say this but...after I read your post my heart was saying I wish he got to that little one sooner before he got home. I do not know why and I can't explain it. Maybe she would have missed that little one alot or...maybe not!! Forgive me but I do not understand why I feel this way. |
Yep, and since I got on my bf's nerves pointing them out whenever we're visiting other places, he started pointing them out and telling me how much cuter they are than Rizzo... He doesn't mean it, I he just does it to bug me, lol. He has a twisted sense of humor, haha. |
It is amazing the camaraderie you feel with a total stranger just because they have the same dog as yours. It's just part of the Yorkie mystique. :D |

I must confess..." I too am a Yorkes stalker " I have no shame/LOve them To death. As far as I know there are 5 others in our subdivision and one who was a rescue who passed a few years back. Two of which are from our previous litters (Bruitus and Abby) that a friends of ours has. We stop in form time to time for a visit. Two others we see waking their owners occasionally. Of course I had to stop and say Hello.. And the fifth one Buster is a 3.7lbs little wonder who we met during our community garage sale. Fell in love with this little booger. He is now going to sire to our next litter of Yorkies. |

oh how funny.. I did almost the same with a little chi one day. I saw him on the road and followed him in my car. I finally got out and tried to catch him, then the owner came out and got mad at me. I told her how far I had followed the little guy and was going to see if there was a number on his tag. She wasn't nice. I also had to laugh, my daughter said it was a shame I have my dh walking a dog in a pink dress!! The other day we ran into a young man with a yorkie, my dh went up to him .. shook his hand and started talking all about yorkies (how to feed, harness vs collar etc) I though I was going to die laughing!!!!! But the worst was the lady we saw walking a yorkie.. we pulled over to show her Remy... she acted like we were nuts. embarrassing.! |
I live in a small to average sized neighborhood, not real big at all. On my street alone there are 4 Yorkies including mine. Then, I know of another house that has 2. And the other day I saw someone else walking a Yorkie. So, that makes 7 that I know of! So cool! |

I'm soooo glad I found this post!!! I thought I was nuts! I have been a yorkie owner since the end of January and ever since then I totally stalk people with yorkies... the first time I ran down the street holding him so I could meet up with new neighbors with their yorkie "Jags"... and just today I pulled over when I saw someone walking a yorkie in a friends neighborhood.... I had to pull out a picture on my phone so she could see my Oliver. Hmmmmmm... no wonder I'm single!!! :p |
I wish I could be a Yorkie Stalker. I have not seen another Yorkie anywhere as yet. Maybe when the weather gets warmer. WE have a dog park in our town and before it was moved it had a section for small dogs, but no longer. Those of you that have play dates and other Yorkies are very lucky. My husband went with me to a meetup for small dogs, but it was an hour away and not worth it. |
Love of Yorkies! I've always been drawn to Yorkies. Even before I got Calleigh. I guess there is just something about them that is magnetic. Just think how often people have stopped to admire your little one. I think owning one makes us want to talk to other people that have them too. It's almost like a club or something.:) |
I have to say, I was kind of hoping the Yorkie owner was on YT... just in case, I saw you on the corner of Butler and Lincoln. :D The weather here is too gloomy to stalk today. It's good to know I'm not alone, though. |

I did this at Petsmart earlier this week. We stopped to buy some supplies on the way home from being at Riley's vet appt and ran into a lady in there walking this sweetest little yorkie girl on a harness in the store. I had to stop and gush over her and tell her about Riley. She was really nice, then a few aisles over I saw a lady buying RC YT dog food and had to talk to her too lol. She didn't even have her pup with her but I saw her buy the Yorkie food so I had to talk. DH thinks I have lost it, nice to know it is common LOL. |
Well my friends have two gorgeous girls, the woman across the street has little Lola and some people down the road have Mylo, we have a Yorkie Fest on the lawn when they all get together it's awesome |
