| Any Yorkie Dad's Out There... I personally think Yorkies are the most adorable litle dogs around... Here is one for you though... I was mentioning my interest for me and my girlfriend/fiancee and some folks were saying that there are very few guys interested in Yorkies... So they were a bit suprised that I am looking around for a little baby to add to our home as opposed to my g/f... Any Yorkie dad's around here? |

| Yes, there are! Although my husband is not a part of this forum, he is very much a yorkie Daddy. I know everyone that knows this is tired of hearing this, but we only had our baby for a few days and she passed away . She was sick when we got her and we didn't know it. Anyway, my husband had gotten very excited at the prospect of getting one and even changed his GOLF GAME to go get her which for him, was a really big deal. He immediately fell in love and was very broken hearted when she didn't make it. Now we are waiting on another one. The breeder said another Mama had a little and has a girl that is about 6 weeks old now and we are waiting to hear from her to at least go and see her to see if she will be the one we want when she is old enough. He asks me EVERY day have I talked with her. So YES, he is a yorkie dad, he just won't really admit it to everybody, but you should see the look in his eyes when he held Maggie, when she passed, and when he talks about another one. It's precious!

| Our Litters Parents are OUR pets We share responsibility of our children and our yorkies. We shopped for a Vet. for our Yorkies like we shopped for a Doctor for our children. People have asked us (and the kids have asked also) Why don't we name the babies? Simply because of the attachment issue. This is our first litters, and it will be hard enough seeing the babies go, without having a name attached to them also. Our yorkies love all of us. We all share in the caring for and loving of them back. They are the sweetest and most personable breed we have ever had the pleasure to own. Kirk and Mary |

| I post on several yorkie forums and there are a several yorkie dad's that post on them. Seems like more of them on this forum. I also work with a guy whom is single and owns a yorkie. We trade a few yorkie stories at work.

| As another poster said, I say the same...My husband doesn't add to my posts/threads but he sits next to me nightly and I tell him certain stories/situations that arise on this forum. He (Robert) is very much involved with Schatzie and loves her just as much as I do if not more. He says that Schatzie and Annabelle are our kids. This sterotype of men having to have that big strong dog is for the birds!!! Men are men and don't need a dog to prove themselves otherwise. I hope you get your little Yorkie for you and your fiance/girlfriend.

| My boyfriend makes fun of me for reading every thread on here, but he always wants me to read him the stuff. He really loves it. He's a good dad to Stewie, too.

| I know I've already posted here. Yes I'm all guy, I adore my little yorkie and anyone that says it's a sissie dog will get knocked right out Ok, I'm kidding. I do love the breed and I live in a small (very $$$ city to live in) appartment and to my Yorkie it's huge! A big breed in this environment just isn''t fair IMHO. I love dachsies and setters and have had both in the past but I met a yorkie I fell in love with (and her owner too!) and I am so happy to have my Sheila. I live for hockey (miss my NHL ) follow all sports and hang out with a bunch of beer swiizzling macho guys. You know what? they all love her and a few of them own toy dogs too! Lol my friends Chi, Killer was the sunshine boy in the Toronto Sun . Last edited by Harbinger; 03-01-2005 at 07:27 PM. |

| My hubby is completely computer illiterate..lol..so you won't see him posting here but he is a great daddy to our little Gizmo! Although he's my puppy, sometimes Gizmo gives him more loving than me..lmao! My father-in-law was the one that turned me on to Yorkies. He had a beautiful little girl named Brandy when I first met my hubby and I was in love with Yorkies from then on! He's already warned me that I better bring his "grand-puppy" when we go visit soon. So, I agree with Harbinger...Yorkie's are NOT a sissie dog!!
