Dont worry, when I first caem to YT it was because I had issues too!! The wonderful people here are for the most part very welcoming and helpful.. The ones that do "slam" you and make you feel bad are only trying to help as well. But, sometimes the truth hurts!! I have learned that too!! I cant wait to see pics of your new little man. I hope all ends up well!! Boys are so loving. I also got my yorkie when he was 10 weeks old. At the time, I had no clue about 12 weeks being the rule of thumb and better for them. He fortunately never had any biting issues and potty trained easily...hopefully you will be as lucky!! Try to realx...your baby will be here soon!!!!:D:D:D |
Sorry you are having problems in getting things worked out. Hopefully it really is just a matter of family problems taking precedence over the puppies right now. That being said, just because a breeder is a YT member doesn't automatically give them a seal of approval. They need to be checked out as thoroughly as anyone else. It's unfortunate, but there have been some who use YT just as a sales platform.:( I hope things work out in the best interest of both you and your new pup. |
Answer 2 More ?s.... Yea, everyone is pointing out the 10 weeks age discrepancy. I originally thought he will be 11 weeks going on 12, and she found the best flight and the timing was off, but I had my math all wrong and had to recount. I don't like that at all(10 wks. v. 12 wks)...don't get me wrong though, I would prefer he be with me now, since she seems so preoccupied with other things/pups. Also, the contract thing. I don't know what I was thinking. I am not an impulse shopper and so I don't do things in haste. (I like to bargain and research first...in fact I did research her but when I did I found nothing but good reviews.) So it is unlike me to not have seen the contract by now. I am willing to take on the responsibility of the pup, thats what I signed up for. Of course, when everything is in writing it makes it that much more easier to deal with and overcome issues and the likelihood of health issues is far diminished. I believe what got me was the fact that I could talk to her for so long and felt so comfortable. She made me feel like a granddaughter. I even talked with her 7 year old grandson and her husband. Gosh, I hate that I allowed this to happen. I'm in a panic now. |
Never For A Moment... Quote:
Nor did I think her being a involved in showing gave her that seal. I assumed that she took the betterment of the YT breed to heart and it meant more than just something to do in "spare time". It just helped me feel more comfortable with her. |

The pup is being transported in the actual cabin. He will have the same treatment as a human. Air/Heat, Food, Attention, etc. This was explained to me by her. |
Hang in there. Am praying things work. :) |
I saw she hand delivers pup...but at 10 weeks...sent you a second ppm...you should ask t her e too... |
Hoping all goes well with the adoption of your new pup. |
Sorry sweetie...but things do not sound right to me. I JUST dealt with getting my Reesie and my breeder (Breny-member on here) was just too amazing beyond words. She had things come up to during the time I was asking questions and she always got back to me within 48 hours no matter what. I know it must be very hard since you have not seen Niko yet--I visited Reesie before putting a deposit down. All the details for the agreement was shown to me asap and also was described on my breeders website. I don't know...I won't lie, I'm a lil worried for ya!! :( The 10 week thing is not ideal, but Reesie came home to me at 11 or 11.5 weeks because he was READY to, per my breeders discretion. I hope he REALLY is coming in the cabin, but if you have flight info-I'm sure he is. I hope it all works out!!! I'm hope she is an honest good person. I highly DISLIKE the kenneling....!!!! I understand crating for certain purposes though. XOXO- Viv |
this is just my opinion, but i would never have a puppy shipped to me unless i KNEW i was dealing with a legit breeder. (i personally knew someone that got a pup from them if you search on this and other sites, there are soooooooo many scammers out there that have a similar story to you...sweet, answers questions, then when they have the money, they treat you like a bother. i have heard it go as far as the people NEVER receiving a puppy, or receiving one that is obviously not the pictures they were sent with tons of health problems. (anyone can find cute pictures of puppies on the net and send them to someone saying that it is the puppy you are buying or have multiple email addresses set up to give out testimonials...etc.) then in the end, the "breeders" disapear. most of the time they get the puppies from puppymills and send then to you. I really hope that this is NOT the case with your little guy and i am sending you lots of positive thoughts that your little guy is going to be happy and healthy!!! i don't want to scare you, but i just have seen similar stories soooo often and wanted you to be aware :( |
She sounds shady... I am also worried for you. I totally understand you wanting to get the pup sooner than later (I would too in this case!). She doesn't sound like what she's led you to believe. I would never have a dog shipped to me because it just sounds too risky...I would want to see the dog and hold the dog in my lap on the way home. She should have sent the contract to you after your last payment (it's just common sense). I've dealt with byb who always had an excuse about sending my baby's AKC paper, but I eventually got it 8 months later  I was persistent though! I really hope your case is just that the breeder is busy with so many stuff....I really hope you get the pup and that the pup isn't sick. :( Everything you noted just doesn't sound right to me...I'm going to PM you for the breeder's name because I will be looking for a pup in a year and definitely don't want to purchase from this breeder. |
Please Respect... My wishes to not put the breeders name in this thread. I am the one who has to deal with this issue no matter which direction it goes, and I certainly wouldn't want a thread to change the outcome. So for those who do have the name, please respect my privacy and the relationship I have with you to give you the name in the first place. (This is just a disclaimer...no one has violated this yet) Thank you so much! |
