& great idea. I will definitely try looking at that. I have been looking at the photos of yorkies now and then. I have found a pup that Niko looks like and I hoping he grows up to look that handsome!:p |
Congratulations on the arrival of Niko. He is adorable. Please stay with this site. As a first time dog owner with Buster Brown I learned so much about taking care of my little furbaby on YT. Having been a survivor myself I call my experiences tests of fire. I see myself as a sword blade that was put into the flame and then hammered. But each time I came out stronger and sharper. Sometimes I react, heck over react, to what I perceive as an attack especially when I am in an all ready emotional state. I have come to realize that sometimes people post from an emotional point of view based on their own tests of fire. They do not realize they are being so confrontational. They are just trying to get their point across but can be a heavy handed when typing. Please do not internalize these posts. See them as only a different point of view and realize they do not know you and your intentions. You do not need to defend yourself and it is only someone's opinion. Sift through the posts gather the knowledge to take care of Niko. Just like politics and religion there are some topics that are likely to get heated here on YT breeder/breeding is one of the top bonfires. Have a wonderful time with Niko. Buster sleeps with me and I love how he snuggles up to me. Best Wishes. |

By the way, I just got done reading this very long, and intense thread. Please know, Niko's Momma, that many times (and this is the beauty of secondary communication) that typing can "come off" in bad ways. Trust me I know, I've even had to have my husband read something and ask "Is there a double meaning here?" or "Do you think they're being mean or sarcastic?" And to be honest, the best thing I can tell you from reading the previous posts are I honestly with my whole heart think that there were no intentions to hurt your feelings. I know, trust me you can see my earlier posts, that a new fur baby can cause tons of stress and emotions and anything can set you off *thinking about the many crying nights posting on here at 2 in the morning* But let's swing the other way and say that yeah maybe the intention was there to hurt your feelings. Maybe people were being rude, know-it-all, and what not. Then the best advice I can say that I have learned from owning dogs and heck even in work circumstances is that you can't let mean people and their dumb comments get you all riled up. Because inevitably, whether they post something or not, they are still dumb mean people. If my mother-in-law has taught me anything, it's that you can't change how people act, but you can change how you respond to it. Hope you stay here, this website has helped me soooo much and we'd love to see Niko grow into a big boy! Lots of love! |
I have just read this whole thread and want to congratulate on your new puppy, But I am a bit confused over this thread and your obvious dislike for the breeder you obtained your puppy from. You received a happy, healthy beautiful yorkie puppy. Yet your unhappy with the breeder because she didn't send a blanket or a toy with him. Unhappy because she didn't call you after you got him? She probably didn't call you because she is reading on here what you are posting. You were on here badmouthing her even before you got your puppy. What I don't understand is why you are, You received a perfectly healthy, happy puppy hand delivered and yet your badmouthing her. What more did you want? For the breeder to move in with you perhaps? |
Enjoy your baby Niko is just adorable. I love that picture particularly where he is beside the jeans and looking so innocent and baby-ish. He is precious! I love all of his pictures. Sounds like you are all read up on how to watch him for emergent situations and what to do so enjoy all this baby time now; and before you know it, he will start to look sort of rangey and long-legged, a bit scraggly in his coat and then, poof - he'll start to compact, change his colors and look all grown up all too soon! This time passes so quickly so enjoy every day of it - even the whining and crying, the pooping where he shouldn't, chewing on your glasses when you just looked away for a moment, toys everywhere and all those other puppy things coming your way. Take lots of pictures of him and have lots of pictures taken of you with him as you will treasure those later. May he live a wonderfully healthy and happy life with you. Hugs all round from us to you! |
