I hope you have taken in the information regarding breeding and your vet. I know my vet has commented on other vets over vaccinating, and it's usually a matter of money. It's never too late to learn, change and improve. |
I really hope so too, think I ticked her off too much to get a positive reaction, action unfortunately... Have you seen her web site...promotes over vaccinating and has a lot of contradictory information on it...from what's said on YT to there...apparently she does a lot of vaccinating and no health genetic testing...sending pups out at 8 weeks too...health contract covers death (only) due to genetic defect only...... half the stuff under grooming, care, etc is copy/pasted from other sites... At the end of the day this is not about you, your vet, or the posters on this forum. We all want what is in the best interest of the dogs. I hope you understand that and change some of your ways, grow as a breeder in your knowledge and practices, and do what is right when it comes to your breeding stock as well as their offspring. |
a lot of the post on here are not constructive criticism ...its our way or you get bombarded im sure there are new trends in vaccinations and what not...but some people believe in doing what's worked in the past and would rather be safe then sorry...as i have stated before the idea on waiting to vaccinate is reckless in my opinion and yes i have read the comments that its the new study, its whats being practiced now..yada yada yada....sorry no vets i ve spoken to are follow this procedure (does that make them unqualified as vets? i think not)...which after the first time i read a thread on waiting to vaccinate i checked out and did my research..yes ive seen the wesbsite about dr dodd. i, personally still believe in "old school" MANY MANY..people, breeders, vets, shelter workers still follow the old school procedures with great success im not looking to debate...ive done that before and you cant get anywhere with it on yt but just putting in my 2 cents |

It's not about "our way or get bombard" at least not for or from me. It's about education and correct information being posted here...people come here to learn and get help...not to have misinformation handed off by less than legitimate sources as the truth...that's dangerous. It's about safety for the dogs we not only love but are responsible for. Name them (vets, breeders, shelters etc)...I'll name some too that show and provide information on medical advances and why the invitation is critical and the 'old school' methods mentioned are/is not only incorrect but dangerous. Then again it's all been shown here by multiple credible sources so it's a mute point providing it again and listening comments of opinion and misinformation that just won't stop. This thread was in the OP getting the correct information they needed and correcting the misinformation which has been done already...end of. Quote:

Would you please post a picture of your hedgehog? I think they are so adorable. |
To the original OP, EsmeeKimme Welcome to YT! After sifting thru a lot of this thread, you have gotten some very good advice. I am sorry that you felt that you couldn't or shouldn't post, please do not shy away from posting, responding and certainly asking questions. I've learned sooo much on here and have met many wonderful people and made friends with many more who I have only talked thru the internet with. You sound like a wondeful person who just wants the best for her new addition, who by the way, is just adorable! I am glad that you found us and will continue to on here. I wish you well with Riley's homecoming and look forward to seeing pictures of the happy occasion. It's so exciting bring puppy home. :) |
