Does Your Yorkie Do This? Bella ALWAYS follows me into the bathroom. While I am sitting she sits at my feet and chirps. Not a whine, just a chirp. She continues until I am done. Was wondering if anyone knows why she would do this? Thanks for your input. Have a GREAT day with your furbaby/ies!:) |
That is funny. I would like to see this on video. Mine do not do this, can't wait to see some other somments though. |
Yeah, since I live alone I've given up closing the door when I go to the bathroom. If I close it, I get kitty paws under the door and a whiney puppy. I guess they think I'm trying to escape out of the window...though there have been days when I've considered it, lol. That chirping thing though...thats weird, lol. |
Teegy always comes in the bathroom with me and I've shut the door and he will just sit outside and scratch to get in, he makes noises but no chirping |
Jed will do the same thing! Not so much the chirping but will sit at my feet and huff! If I stand at the sink for very long washing dishes...same thing. If I am sitting in the living room, Jed feels like he "needs" to be in my lap. If I am busy, he will sit with someone else but as soon I sit...he is leaving them and charging at me. :) He L.O.V.E.'s me. :D |

Tallulah always follows me into the bathroom. But if I'm taking too long, she gets impatient and either barks at me or bites my toes. We are working on correcting the biting habit. I would like to hear what the chirping sounds like. |
My Tia will follow me to the bathroom and just sit there and look at me. When I finish and flush she has to see the(whatever) spin arond the toilet and go down. Sometimes she will have toilet paper everywhere for me in my bedroom just in case I cannot make it to the bathroom...:D |
Yes Troy will follow me to the bathroom. He will stand in front of me and just look at me. If he wants me to hurry up sometimes he'll try and tug at my roos. |
Minnie is starting to follow me to the bathroom too, well really Anywhere I go around the house. I thought she just missed me all day, but seems to be a common 'Yorkie trait'. She does whine and poke her little furry paws under the door when I leave her outside. But 'chirpping' hmm not soo much. |
Hercules does this anytime I'm in the bathroom. Whether I'm brushing my teeth or trying to get in the shower. He sits on the bath mat and talks to me while I do what I'm in there for and then follows me out. If I manage to go in there without him if he hears the water running he comes running. He doesn't do it with anyone else in the house and if he runs into the bathroom because he hears the water and it isn't me, he leaves. I don't mind when I'm just brushing my teeth or in the shower, but I'm a bit audience shy when I'm using the restroom. Apparently is does matter if the audience is a puppy. = ) |
Lil' Miss Izzie does the same thing....in the morning after my shower and while I am getting ready (at the sink, brushing teeth, combing hair, putting on makeup) she will be fixated on the toilet waiting for me to put kleenex/tissue in, then waits for the flush...once I get ready to flush she will run around to the other side of the toilet, look up at me then into the toilet, back at me, back into the toilet....it always gives me a great start to my day...... |
Mine dont chirp but they go in the bathroom and when my husbands ready to get off the pot chachi barks |
these stories are so cute & so funny! Princess has "taught" me to leave the door to the bathroom & bedroom open or else!! since it's just me and my daughter it's no biggie. when i'm on the toilet she'll either try to get some tub water, bring me a toy & demand that i play or even jump on my lap! sometimes she'll jump up quick then onto the counter! (she learned that because if the lid was down she\'d use that...well one time it wasn\'t, she jumped up, went in, scrambled then ran in the l.r. soaking me! |
Hi everyone this is my first time on here. I thought my yorkie followed me to the bathroom because he was attached to me and I couldn\'t get out of his sight but I guess they all seem to do that. |
