First Dolce is absolutely adorable and I am sorry his topknot was cut off. I completely understand your needing to vent. It can be a shock when they are groomed differently than requested whether by mistake or incompetence. Luckily Dolce was not hurt, I have read posts about Yorkies being injured by bad groomers. We all know hair grows back but in the heat of the moment all we are thinking about is how long it took to get it that length. I completely understand how devastated you had to be at that moment. The trouble with venting is you can say something in frustration that is misinterpreted by others, as in the case of the Chihuahuas reference. I hope Dolce's hair grows back fast. Buster had to have one leg and a large patch shaved off his back for surgery. It has taken a while to get to a length where it blends. It was quite the shock to see the cut even though I understood it was necessary. I had to go out and find a longer coat to cover the patch on his back because he was quite cold with all the hair missing. Best wishes to you and Dolce |
Wow...I got the gist that basically if she wanted a short-haired dog, she would have purchased a chihuaha, she likes long-haired dogs...(don't we all;)) She was upset and obviously was ranting about the hair length, & knowing nothing about the Chihuaha breed, mentioned price. I love Chihuaha's & didn't find the post offensive at all. I took it with a grain of salt, understanding that she was upset, and I still picture them with short hair, even though there are long haired varieties out there. She could very easily have substituted another short-haired breed, & someone else would have found it "offensive" It was obvious that she was upset, & picked a short-haired breed off the top of her mind to complain about. |

Yes, I guess in the heat of the moment she said something that was offensive to some. She has apologized. I, in no way know the OP but I took what she had to say as not being offensive. I guess if I did own the breed she mentioned, I might have taken offense...but I do not think so. It was just a comparison note in my book. As for the post: "I am a groomer and I find your post title highly offensive. I'm sorry your yorkie got the wrong haircut but that is no reason to make such statements. There are quite a few groomers on this forum and we take pride in our work" Her title could have been different but come on, honestly? Why did you take offense? This is an open forum and she was only expressing dissatisfaction. If I was a groomer who prided myself in my abilities I probably would have told her, "If you ever come my way, there is a free groom for you" What's better for business? Cutting down someone for a "post title" or....correcting someone elses mistake? I thought we were one in this community. Even if we live "hundreds of miles" away from each other...you never know where we might vacation or visit. |

WOW... I am Flabbergasted... Quote:
Wow this post is all ova the place Listen I apologized in general for my post more than twice earlier and I’m done. I’m not going to let you or anyone else sit up here and make this more than it was. The title was how I felt at the time. Obviously if you took the time and read my post afterwards you would have realized that I was sorry for offending “Anyone”. That could have save you the time with writing saying that I offended you. However you still felt the need to comment. So, I stated earlier that this was my very first time taking him to groomers, and no, it wasn’t neither of the places that you’ve mentioned. If you will like the name, pm me and I will give it to you. However out of respect for others that associate themselves with the company, I will not broadcast their name, yeah the groomer apologized and that’s why I left out and called the manager on the phone, I didn’t make a scene. I never thought in a million years my post would be dissected like this. I mean it's like me saying you offended me because you said it sounded like I went to pet smart or petco, what does pet smart and petco do horrible grooming jobs, because I'm sure there are people who take their pets their and probably have no problem, but did you think that when you said "Also it sounds like you took her to a pet smart or petco." That, that might offend someone, or even me? It didn't, I'm just saying Because I personally did not think my post had offended anyone as well and after It was brought to my attention i made sure to say sorry. Sure if you feel that I’m at fault, then hey that’s your opinion. *Damb or damn or D**m, D**b, however you want to say it means the same to everyone; it’s a curse word for example “I love my damn yorkie”, so it can be used anyway you want like Slang. I also used damb when I describe the strands of his hair, tell you the truth I used that word a lot that night, even when I started crying I said "ohh daammb", guess that was offensive as well? I specifically stated that I was not being Rude, that I did not want this post to go any further as far as being negative, however it seems that it has. No matter what I would have said someone would have been offended, and furthermore if any of us were at a salon and a stylist messed up our hair, I’m sure when we went to vent to whoever it may have been, we didn’t say nice things or weren’t like, it’s just hair. But that's just me, and at that moment, I didn't want to hear that, Some are just stronger than I am obviously. I thought that this was a place people come to for advice, or even for reassurance. No one’s perfect and I am done apologizing. *Now on a positive note, seems dolce loves his hair cut, lol... He’s constantly rolling on the floor, and way more vocal and now when he goes on his walks he doesn’t get the leaves stuck up under him. Its bananas cause now, he can even get back into his shirts older shirts, and has even been more affectionate.Lol. Again thanks for everyone opinions good or bad. I’ve learned a lot about posting, lol. This should be a part of the read first. "If you are emotional give yourself a day before posting, or don’t post at all... ******ALSO PLEASE if anyone knows of a way to close this post, before it gets out of control can you please let me know? thx |
I'm glad Dolce seems to be enjoying his new 'do. Just remember that he's a cutie no matter how long his hair is. If you want the thread closed, you can send a pm to either Wylie's mom or Admin and they will do it for you. |
