Hi Leslie, Jill, Tammie and Kendra!

I wonder how we can find out others' experiences with planning a meet up. I think it would be fun to plan. I also wonder where a good place to meet is, both city and locale?

Hi y'all...I live in San Antonio. I have a 19 and 16 year old. Then I have 4 furbabies...black lab 10, german shepherd mix 6, pom 4, and a yorkie baby 12 weeks. Nice to see so many Texans.

Hi Baroness down there in San Anton! Welcome...aren't yorkies the BEST?! Is your puppy your first one?

I owned a Yorkie when I was a kid. He was my favorite pet and when I lost him I knew one day I would raise another one. I finally got that wish a week ago. I am busy learning the ropes and lovin' the little guy now...he is the BEST!! I LOVE the breed. Thanks for the welcome!! :D

Wow!! I go through Canyon several times a week! U said you were getting your yorkie this weekend? How exciting!! I have a 2 1/2 yr old boy, "Bevo", who is my world and we have a baby, "Mac", who will be 2 weeks Monday. Mac is staying here at my home with his mommy until hes weened, then his mom will go back home. We are excited to have a new baby to train and love!!

From Illinois, but I try to get down to TX 2 times a year to see funny talking relatives and to hunt hogs.

I moved here as a "Yankee", not knowing that it's a word they use here as a put-down.:eek: Been here for 25 years and still get referred to that way now and then!

Hi!

We are in....wait for it...Waco, TX! :p Who would guess? :rolleyes: If you don't know, it's halfway between DFW and Austin. We have two yorkies, Gizmo just turned four and Kandi will be three in July. There are quite a lot of YTers in Texas. Check out the threads in the Southwest section. The Houston group seems to be the most active regarding meetups, but we've had a couple here in Waco and Dallas is very active as well. Check out the special section for different parts of the country and look in Southwest. Any meetups will usually be posted there.

I'm a teacher, so I'm usually only active in the summer months. We have two skin kids, but both are grown up and out of the house. The yorkies are helping us adjust to being "empty nesters". :)

Judy (in....Waco was it?)--I'm about to be an empty nester too. So, we're teaching Zoe to be a travel dog.
Where's the Southwest section...I don't think I've ever seen those, but will look more carefully.
