| I've actually started looking. I couldn't understand how she got the shape of the legs the way she did (the round bottoms). It finally clicked! I think I already found a few good prospects on craigslist. What's a good price to pay for a used end table?

| It's hard to say a good price. It depends on the table and condition. I'd say you'd want to get one that u won't be too upset with it if the wood cracks when ur trimming the one side.

| You still have to consider the cost of the curtain rod ends to top the legs-retail some can be about $20 too the paint (I'm bad I get custom paint colors in anti-mold, safe non toxic etc) dog bed pad ( love visco foam chunk ones) the duvet-that's so cute could make it yourself too wooden blocks (I'm getting legs at the hardware store to make it raised) I am going to use wood adhesive decals for embossed decorations even if you estimate and even $20 for each-which could be likely averaging expenses that's 6x$20...$120 on this project...maybe a $20 over estimate...or you could get really creative and cheap it...but if you forget you could spend a little more than buying one retail...I'd still rather make mine though-fun project for me and the kids and makes such a better story of a useful, functional show piece in your home. Everyone who does this should post pics!!!! I won't probably for a couple months but I'm noting this thread and will post mine...well someday! I think garage yard sales are only year round in CA...LOL...my rule of thumb a $20 limit for used small furniture at such sales (even craigslist) chances are the ppl will take it as they are most likely going to haul it all off to good will later to donate...I've missed out a few many items I'd have loved to get...but looking back having stuck to my rule of my "project" budget I've restored, reused, re-purposed so many items at such a dirt cheap price it was amazing (used to sell some of them after restoring them for fun and pocket money). I might pay a decent penny for a really cute one at a good will (nonprofit) thrift store-good cause and all... but wow some yard sellers and good will stores have really taken the word retail in secondary retail to heart in their pricing! Although I have to say I did a couple years ago spend just over $100 on an armoire at a yard sale, I resold after refurbishing and made my expenses and a slight profit back on it...of course this past summer I got a very similar one for $30...that's my next project...

| Well, I think I'm going to a few flea markets in my area to see if I can find a table. I love this idea! I'm probably going to sew a cover for the bed cushion, that's not hard. I hope everyone who does this will post a pic! Great summer/spring weekend project!
