Maybe she wasn't really dumped in your yard. Perhaps someone saw her around your house or even in your yard, saw the open gate and assumed she was yours. The person who put her in there may have thought she/he was doing a good deed by shutting the gate. |

I thought that too, but where my house is and where my neighbors are this little pup would have had to walk a long way. I have two acres and no-body's house is close to me. That is why I went to the houses near to see if anyone lost a pup. I am basically where the hard road ends and a dirt road begins. I really feel like it is a drop off and someone may have seen her on the road and thought she was mine put her in the gate. I really don't think she was purposely put in my yard by the "drop-off" person. |
Well, either/or, you did a wonderful thing. I am so glad for her and hope you continue to check in on her welfare. You know, we all will be looking for post.........:) |
I have to tell this story about a Kitty Drop Off. Your post just reminded me this which I had forgotten about. When we lived in an apartment awhile back we had 4 red tabbys. They used to all greet me when I came home from work. One day I came home and there were 5 red tabbys greeting me. I thought I was losing my mind. The only way I thought this cat could have gotten into my apartment was if my neighbor let him in. I had given her a key in case of an emergency. Well I went over to her apartment and she said Oh btw I let J.B in he must have escaped somehow. When I told her it wasn't J.B she was totally floored. Well I tried to let the cat out but he didn't want to leave. Well P.S. We ended up with a new cat named Garfield. We put out posters and even a notice in the paper but when nobody claimed him we kept him because I wouldn't bring him to a pound. |
I'm so glad to hear that Jazie is doing well. You were so very kind to have kept her over the weekend and to make sure she will have a nice home. At least YOU will be able to sleep at night. I hope the person who dropped her off isn't sleeping at all. Although, if they are that type of person, they probably haven't given her a second thought. :( Again, I'm so happy she will be well taken care of. Keep us posted as to how she is doing. :) |
