Hi, Just wanted to add that years and years ago, I was a dog groomer(bather really) and the main thing I learned was that the first bath is the most important because this is the first impression and it has to be nice and gentle and safe. I gave my 2 a bath today and learned one thing. Don't use Cold shampoo. They hated that. They both cried. I felt bad about that one. I also learned to hold my hairdryer with my feet and then I have 2 hands to handle the brush and the dog. Stange but true. Sam&Deesmom |
You might want to order one of these or pick one up www.hairmade.com They work great for holding hair dryers at any distance or height from the little doggie. |
You sound like such a caring Mommy!!!!! I know you want to do everything right and you will. It is a little scary for their first bath, but sounds like you did great. You just have to treat them just like babies!!!! Chloe likes it when I put the warm water in a large plastic cup and rinse her that way. She doesn't like the sound of the water running. How old did you say Daisy is? I saw her cute little pictures, but I forgot her age. Chloe is 6 months old now. I have been posting since she was 8 weeks old. She weighs almost a big 4 lbs. now.
