Cooper is my hoarder. She will get all the toys she can gather, take them under the dinning room table, and lay with them, maybe chewing on one. :) It is cute. Maddie pays her no attention unless she tries to take the toy outta her mouth, which Cooper will do! :p Ernie has no toys. Cooper has the poor guy living by the rule, "What's yours is mine, and what's mine is mine. " |
Maddie is a hoarder. She is exactly like the commercial for insurance (or whatever it is) where the dog is constantly moving its bone worried someone would find it :D |
oh that is cute I've not met a yorkie yet who didn't like to take things and save it for later. My binky used to get mad at the kids...she'd steal my sons gameboy games..my daughters beanie babies off her shelves...and one of her dads socks...always one so he couldn't leave she figured...once my daughter was looking for her cellphone...miss binky had stolen it Savannah is a stasher too and uses her doggie stroller to put everything in |
GEES, it's so comical reading your replies.... There must be some MasterDoggyProgrammer somewhere that downloads the same profile to each one of our lovable mutts ! :D |
Denzil likes to 'bury' his bones in my bed, I found one the other night when I put my hand on it and had the fright of my life! The bone was huge and I don't know how he managed to get it up onto the bed in the first place! |
Linus likes to have a bone within 10 inches of him at all times, so rather than putting all the bones in one place, they are ALL OVER the house. You seriously can't walk 2 steps without stepping on one. The thing he hoards are these Kong squeaky tennis balls. His favorite game is to play fetch with himself where he throws the ball down the stairs, chases after it then takes it back to the top of the stairs to play again. Therefore, those squeaky balls are his favorite toy ever. Yet somehow, when I want to play with one with him, I can never find one anywhere despite having bought at least 20 of them over the past year or so. Then, last week, I washed my couch slipcover and had to pull out the couch to put it back on. I found 16 of those stupid squeaky tennis balls behind the couch!! He was saving all of them back there! |
Okay I'm sad to say I was excited to read this thread at first but now that it's so cute I'm actually disappointed...Princess has the A-typical mini schnauzer persona..if she sees it, it's hers, if she once had it, it's hers, if you have it, it's hers...I say she rules the roost but really she's a bully! She's the youngest was the smallest until recently and she pushes my poor boys Elvis and Scoobers around all day...now she's not really violently aggressive she gently bites them in play and she does use both her paws to push them around like a bear (hence we call her the polar bear monster-she also "pounces on things like a polar bear on a seal den) Anyways she takes the toys away from the boys all the time! I get the boys another toy and she drops what she has and takes theirs...I was so hoping someone else had this issue and had figured out a way for inner harmony...I feel like I've tried everything with her-attention, discipline, praise, treats, and nothing works-that perhaps it's just her dominant female mini schnauzie persona...the Yorkies just can't seem to et one over on her...but they do occasionally gang up...we have coined it the Yorkie rebellions... |
Suzi is a Bully Stick hoarder... Every time I give both my little dogs a bully stick, Suzi takes the other one from Miely , then goes back on the couch with her bully stick , & Miely's. She then keeps Miely's bone while chewing on hers. She also has been known for hiding them too. It is only with the bully sticks that she does not want to "share" We have to give poor Miely her's back, but Suzi always does it again. I hate to think of her as a "selfish" little bully stick hoarder, but she just can't help herself to just one . ;) |
HA, here we go again ! :D My Male Sneakers would wait till my Female Becca (still a puppy) would go get a drink or outside to potty. When she was gone, he would sneak over to her bunk, and steal her Bully Stick. Her Bunk is underneath the Breakfast Table, so.... I used a Nylon Cord, tyeing the Bully Stick mid way with a cinch loop, then tied the other end up to where the Table Legs bolt to the Table Top. It's just long enough (hangs down) to lay in her bunk where she can chew it, but, He can't take it !!! |
