Same here... I know that my comapny would NEVER allow me to bring a dog to work under ANY circumstances... That would be ideal but it is severely frowned upon here.

My husband and I work full time and have two puppies. We used to keep them in the bathroom with a babygate but have recently expanded their area to include an L shaped hallway outside the bathroom. They are being fairly good with the paper training but still have a few accidents and misses. We got two so they could keep each other company. We have a cat as well and we were surprised to learn that he loves the company as well. He frequently sits just outside the gate and watches them. Yesterday, the cat learned he could jump over the lower gate and hang out but leave when the puppies got too playful. Overall it seems to be working for us. As for feeding, we feed them in the AM with a mix of canned and dry food. For lunch, I leave out a serving of dry food for each of them. In the evening, they get their supper as soon as we get home at around 7 pm (again both wet and dry food).

We are thinking about puppy day care because there is a great one in our neighborhood but have to wait until they have all their shots. Unforunately, two puppies at day care is not cheap.

I would love to take them to work but it isn't really an option right now. Though I am hoping that with summer Fridays, that dog time is more of an option!

I work full time from 9 till 6 or so. I feel so bad for leaving little paris at home so she has sooo many toys. She is so little that she still sleeps a lot. She will play hard for 30 min and sleep for 2 hours. And when I get home she is so happy. once your pup gets use to your schd it is a lot easier.
Speaking of puppy day care I was looking into that, what should I look for when selecting one. I live in the South Bay/ Long Beach area. Does anyone have any sugestions? :dog:

Yes, I work all day too... 6:30 - 5 pm. Trevor was locked in the bathroom with a baby gate the first month, but now he has the run of the house with the other non-yorkie dogs. The weather here is mild so I can leave the back door open and he is in and out all day. He's pretty much a rough and tumble type of boy, so he loves playing outside with the others.

My husband and I both work full time. He leaves around 12:00 in the afternoon and I am normally home about 5:15. I have my own insurance agency so the dogs take turns coming here on some days. Its funny, my clients often ask where they are if I am without one of them. They seem to enjoy them. They are bad when they are home. This morning Gidget got toilet paper out of the closet and torn it up every where. In the hall, bathroom and living room. I am having problems with potty training and my house is starting to stink. YUK :mad: I can't wait for the weather to break so I can get the potty stuff under control. They don't seem to use the pee pads and everyone seems to forget to crate them when they leave. I wish I could spend more time with them at home so I could get the potty training under control. Its like small children, the more time you can spend with them the better they are

Well i also work a very full time job,,7 days a week and sometimes,,12-14 hr. but I own my own business. My yorkie is so,,spoilt its hard to work with her around at nighttimne,,but when im working days and its not as busy she stays at work with me,,the other times I have hired a yorkie sitter,,she comes and picks her up and I call when my business is not so busy and she brings her back,,I will not and cannot leave her alone,,she would go crazy,,heck i cant go to the bathroom without her,,,,,who else folllows you in the john just to grab your undies down before you even get a chance to sit down,,,,,,,,,,lol

I work 745- 515 so Kai is home anywhere from 730 to 530 (depends on the day some times I'm off a lot earlier) I keep her in her kennel (the first week of this was terrible she cried SO much) but it got better , I come home on my breaks and take her outside and let her run around , give her lots of kisses and back to the kennel she goes until my next break. Some days I leave her in the bathroom with the door shut , but this is hindering the crate potty training so until we are a little better with this I'm afraid its the crate :( on the weekends she is free to run the house , and as soon as I get home she runs the house until bed time , she's been sleeping in her kennel in my room (i'd really like to have her in my bed but my bed is 4 feet off the ground and of course she has NO FEAR of jumping!!!!) she cuddles with my hubby and I until shes out then she goes to her kennel , and in the am she wakes me up to potty ( around 4am) and she goes back to bed with me after that. I feel very guilty leaving her at home when I work but I have to to support Kai's shopping habit , clothes , coats , bows , ect LOL!

Hi! I have been taking Lexy to work with me since she is still so tiny (1 1/4 lb.). However, she loves her crate and will get in it herself to nap. I will probably end up leaving her in the laundry room with her crate door open so she can have access to her bed and her wee wee pads.

I also bought her a Snuggle Puppy bed that has the mother dog attached to it! The mother dog heats up and has a heartbeat! Lexy adores it!! She even tried to find it's nipples to nurse! LOL

I just got my pup and I work full time 8-4:30 everyday. My work is close enough to come home on my lunch break and take her potty and play. Also my boyfriend is home to walk, play and take care of her when i cant. Sometime's it get's difficult especially if both of us work overtime or have other obligations. Im trying my hardest to be the best mommy i can be though :p
