Do I need to say "Pineapple" is back on my grocery list!!!:p |
Yep they sure do. Luckily though my family and friends have for the most part accepted it. They don't understand it but at least they accept it and don't give me any hassle about it. |

Yes they do.... haha. :D |
Well, our good friends rescued a Saint Bernard about a year ago. Let's just say that here lately (although we talk about our skin kids) many of our conversations have been about our furbabies. Exchanging their x-mas pics, talking about their wardrobe, and training. My dad literally laughed at me when I told him I had to get off the phone to get Bella dressed and combed to go to the vet. He laughed for a solid minute! He asked if I was serious. I think I was the one shocked to hear that someone thought it was abnormal to dress your dog. My husband is constantly accusing me of loving Bella more than him! |

I think you have a true case of Yorkiemania. I think you contract it the moment you pick up your very first Yorkie, it takes full control of your life, it can be contagious and as far as I can tell, there is no vaccine or cure. I've had it since 1978. Welcome to the club. |
If anyone had told me I would act this way with my dogs before I had yorkies, I would have denied the possibility. Something about these little ones just melts our heart and takes down any barriers that might have been there before. I know I talk about mine like they are human, but they have such sweet personalities! I don't expect anyone that has not had one of their own to understand. We act the way we do because we are blessed with their unconditional love. Those never experiencing that could never understand. |

Think.... I am |
I have my yorkie, Suzi and a shih tzu. I do not like to leave for long periods of time , because I'll I think about is them, and if they are ok and safe. Suzi is my very first dog ever, living on my own. I raised my son who is autistic and did not even think of getting a dog until he was 14. He does so well with them, and loves to have Suzi sleep in his bed at night. Suzi is pretty smart too. I also talk to them , sometimes they look at me, and i could swear they know what I am talking about, LOL. I ran accross somebody selling Shorkie's puppies , but wanted $350 each. I thought that was too high for a mix breed, but It would of been a perfect fit having one .. |
I oppionted my best friend my dogs godmother before I went on a plane trip, yeah some may say thats crazy but I say it's just good planing. I also buy specail food and buy my baby boy all sorts of things. My mom thinks I'm crazy and is convinced she'll never have grandchildren, I tell her shes lucky. I hate the"'it's just a dog" comment, they just don't understand  |
I feel ya! I carry my little Holly everywhere with me, even the grocery store, and when I go out for dinner she's in her little doggy purse right next to me! I cannot leave her home alone. My boyfriend and I actually try to work out our schedules so that at least one person can be home with her while the other is working. I love my baby girl. I talk to her like a little baby, some people say it's quite weird. But she IS my baby! :D |
