That will be up to us....I will work on the "High Fine" with him, and then modify it so it looks like a salute. Basil is in his pen napping now. The class tired him out a little. He came home, ate, went outside, and now sleeping. Most pups start around 10 weeks or so. Basil is almost 14 weeks. Good age. He will take another series of Puppy Classes when this 4 week cycle ends, and then start basic Obedience, Advanced, and distraction. Once he is fully developed, we will get him into other fun classes like Tracking and agility. Carlo did all of this, but not agility. He was a great tracker, and excelled in Personal Protection. Not sure if that would be a six pounders strong suit! |
I loved puppy kindergarten. Nicco was 12 weeks when we started, and with the exception of one chi he was the littlest one in there. There were several labs, a great dane, one that looked like a deer (have no idea the breed) and 2 sister bull dogs. He was the life of the party each week. |
[QUOTE=shodanusmc;344319....... Personal Protection. Not sure if that would be a six pounders strong suit![/QUOTE] Now I know you understand just how overprotective a 6lb yorkie can be....given the right circumstances, they will just make mince meat out of anyone's ankles :D |
The little man has adapted very well, and fits right in, although he runs circles around everyone else. Super smart, playfull, and naturally fearless. He loves Merrick Puppy Plate, sleeps well, and is doing great in Puppy Kindergarten. This Saturday he will be wearing green and will be watching the St. Patricks Day Parade in Downtown Chicago. Could not be happier. |
Glad to hear Basil is doing so well and acing Kindergarten. :) Is the whole family going downtown for the parade? Bring your camera! |
Great to hear updates on Basil. Have fun Saturday and show us pictures, ok? |
Basil sounds like he has much energy as my 6 month old Sassy. Happy to hear everyone is enjoying him so much, especially Carlos. |
