Jackson, World's Smartest Yorkie tricks Just wanted to make another trick video for fun!! We are still working on a few things like reverse, skateboard, etc, but I just wanted a fun little video of Jackson for this winter. I'll probably make another in the Spring! Hope you enjoy!! We had a lot of fun making it :) Jackson is trained using exclusively positive reinforcement and clicker training. |
Too cute. My Nicco sits up on his butt like that and it just cracks me up! |
Very awesome!! How much time do you spend training him? He is such a handsome guy. |
Btw, the title was simply to grab attention (hehe). I think every Yorkie is incredibly smart, too smart for their own good. :) @Lauren, we do atleast 10 minutes a night of training. Usually least is 10 minutes, most is 30 minutes per day. |
You and Jackson need a standing ovation!!! Your dedication sure is paying off and Jackson sure is a smart little boy! I really enjoyed watching the video. :congrats: WELL DONE!!! |
Brit, I love it! He is so smart and handsome! Your Jackson videos always inspire me to try and teach my girls new tricks. You always have great ideas for tricks to start training too! Loved him removing your socks and tapping your feet when you kicked them out! |
Great video!! Did you teach him all those tricks yourself?? |
Awwww good job Jackson!!!! That's incredible :D I feel hopeless working with Oliver, I've tried everything (except clicker training) and I just can't get him to do anything but sit and lay down....sigh  |

I think Jackson is so dang handsome! I love his cut, and his tail! I wish I could get Fiona cut like that, but I'd probably mess it up! He is so smart too! Great Video! |
Very cool! |
Jackson is a smarty and a cutie too! |
Jackson is amazing and so are you for not letting his smarts go to waste lol. I can't get Lexie to stay still when shes "sitting pretty" she keeps flailing her arms around, i guess for balance? how long did it take for jackson to get that trick down? By the way i'm clicker training her. After reading one of your posts a while ago about training Jackson i ran out and got one:D |

Jackson is such a stud muffin!!! Loved the video and it gave me some new ideas for tricks!!! Our next big trick we're working on is breakdancing! We've got the individiual parts down, we've just got to put them together. |
awww sooooo cute! thank you for sharing my little rescue was with me at the laptop...when I looked down she was glued watching him. I think she's in love :) |
Great video! I especially love the limping. That's too funny. |
I've been amazed at how smart Yorkie's really are. I read and read about them before I got Princess but just did not understand such a small dog (prob w/a small brain) could be so smart! I think the funniest, smartest thing Princess ever did was a couple weeks ago. I took a nap in the afternoon & set the alarm to get up. I woke up before the alarm and went in the bathroom. Princess was in there with me. Well the alarm went off and Princess took off at a full run to my bedroom......and she pushed the snooze button !! I still can't believe it, it has encouraged me to try to teach her as many tricks as possible, I mean, Yorkie's really are the smart breed they are known to be! |
That's a great video...thank you! How old was Jackson when you started training him to do tricks? What did you start with? |
Great video! Jackson is so darn cute AND smart. Wish he could come over for a play date with my girls, they'd love him. |
OMG that is awesome. I'm working on tricks with Harley maybe once he gets really good I'll have to make a video. Hey, what are all the tricks Jackson knows, any chance you can list them. I'm trying to make a list of all the things I want to teach Harley. He's quite a bit smaller than Jackson, and is a little ADD some times, but eventually I figure I'll be able to keep his attention better. |
If that video doesn't put a smile on your face nothing will! Jackson is the coolest pup. Cheers to you Britt an amazing job with Jackson. I just love watching his videos:) |
What a super smart boy!!!!!! |
Wonderful video, Brit! Jackson is gorgeous in the yard (your dad's yard?), looks like he was born to be a tv star, and he is great with all of his tricks, of course. I love the way he looks at you so intently. My favorite clips/tricks are walking on your feet, through your legs, and dancing on the porch. Adorable! |
I <3 Jackson :D |

I'm sooo glad to hear you are doing clicker training with her! It's such a fun thing and it's awesome when you see their heads spinning, trying to figure out what to do next to get that click. Post a video sometime! Quote:

What a smart guy! I always enjoy watching Jackson in action! You go, Jackson! A groomer, Tammy Rudd had a beautiful Border Collie name Shebang. They were on David Letterman and Pet Star shows. I always enjoyed reading her tales with Shebang. Sadly, Shebang had pancreatitis and had to put to sleep. YouTube - clickertrickdog's Channel |
