I used to live on the 21st floor of a high rise, and for exercise I'd run the stairs, I'd find poo bags in the stairwell. Also in the park you'd find poo bags filled. I really don't get if you're going to take the time to clean it, why the heck aren't they throwing it in the garbage. ???? |
Most apt. complexes do have nice grass, and I'm sure it attracts dogs that don't even live there with owners who don't pick it up. I have a nice green lawn, (front and back) and I use to find this huge red pile of poo every morning and I finally put up a sign that said PLEASE keep your dogs poo off my lawn. Who ever it was must have started taking another route or picked it up. A really disgusting area to find lots of poo is at a soccor, football or softball field. When we travel, it's very difficult to find grass that isn't littered with poo. I just don't understand people who don't care about others!! |
I don't think they are ignorant. I think they are lazy! People may not know all the reasons that it is important to pick up after their dogs, but they know they should be picking it up. A lot of places have baggies hanging up with trash cans, so what is the excuse then? My girls go on pads, but obviously when we go for walks we have to wade through all the (literal) crap out there. There is nothing hard about hooking a baggie holder with bags to a leash and using it. I don't know what is worse the geese or the lazy owners who don't pick up after their dogs! |
Urban Dictionary: posting up #3 (no jokes about #5) as in I'd be out on the front lawn in the a chair under the sun-brella yelling and handing out pooh bags...LOL...could post a fence...hmmmm but posting signs in the yard might help too...big one... About 5 yrs ago we were in out 5th wheel a dude would let his big dog out and the dog would drop a cron on my neighbors yard who was very old finally the dog did it in my yard I took that pile of turd and I did take it to his door and told him this belongs to you that ended that. Here I think they all do it at night I cant catch them or hell have no fury when I do catch them and this place provides bags and will fine them if they get caught but no luck yet. I worry about worms if there dogs have worms and they leave the turd my girls can catch it. If you see the news about a lady who slapped her neaghbor over poop that would be me (lol). |

I also have a family friend that let's her dog out to do his business in her backyard. What's the problem? She never picks up any, and I mean any of his poops. He's a freakin golden retriever! She has 2 little girls that go out and play in the yard. I didn't even let Kaji touch the floor out there. It was disgusting!!! |
I use Iverheart Plus heart worm meds on two of my dogs...they prevent 4 types of worms-there's a few others out there that do the same- might want to consider that also...but still people can contract stuff from the pooh lawn-I'm also the mom who freaks out if my kids touch the bottoms of their shoes and makes sure they have instant hand sanitizer in the backpacks... My dogs have a designate potty spot in the yard-wish they'd always use it...thankfully my kids really love using the Poop Patrol grabber-it's just gross to leave it out how do people use their own yards if they don't clean it up...we do it once a week here but always before every BBQ, potluck or play date, or guest that will most likely see the yard too-I do a little run through to get anything picked up out the doggy potty zone just for the sake of it-I get embarrassed if the pest control guy comes to spray around the house and I haven't made it out there to do a lil pick up! He always laughs if he pulls up and I'm out there doing a emergency pick up, says I have no idea how much of a hazard it is with his job...why he wears rubber boots-poor guy! Quote:

AGAIN!!!..............what are you doing? Three threads and the same weird post. |
My apt has a doggie park area that provides poo bag stations and for the most part since that area is near the trash compactor people will scoop their poop. There is also a wooded area near my building and Troy will go in the bushes to do his doo. There's no kids or human traffic there. I'll be honest here, I don't pick up in the bushes because no one is walking there and the majority of the time I can't even see it. But I do take poo bags and pick up if he goes in the street or wear people walk. |
