| One ear stands up, lol Hey everyone, I have been lurking on these forums for about two weeks now. I have really enjoyed all the pictures and cute stories and I have really learned alot of valuable info. My husband and I picked up our new baby three weeks ago and now we have no idea how we ever lived without her, omg, she is such a blessing. I promise not to go on and on about how perfect we think she is, haha, but she is soooo smart, she has the potty training thing just about beat, outside and puppy pads. She loves to play fetch with her ball (she will wear you out if you let her) and she sits when asked to. Oh and she loves to chase our 4 year old Himalyan Cat (spelled that wrong, lol) Ok, I said I would not go on and go. So my question is this, she is 14 weeks old tommorow and one of her ears decided to stand up just two days ago. But her other ear is showing no signs of being interested in doing the same. So I am wondering if she is just going to be one ear up one ear down or if sometimes this takes a while. Either way we love her and would not take a million dollars for her, lol. Shot, we would still feel the same if both of her ears just fell off. Oh and her name is Coco. Thanks for taking the time to read and I am so thrilled that I found a place where everyone loves yorkies. I will post some pics as soon as figure out how. take care |

| hi, welcome to YT. I just wanted to tell you that my Ginger's ears have on that stands & one that is floppy. She is almost a year old, & they have been like this since she was a puppy. I love it though b/c I think it gives her personality & spunk! You might can see it in my avatar the way her ears look. I wouldn't have it any other way!

| Thank you for the warm welcome and the responses. I will just let nature take it's course with Coco's ears, hehe. Gingersmom, I just have to tell you how adorable Gingers little ears look. You are right it does add a special spunk, haha. Ok no more worries about the ears either way I have a special little girl who just lights up the house. I am sure I do not have to tell anyone here how special our babies are. Again thanks for the warm welcome and I look forward to some more Yorkie Talk. | Gizmo is 16wks now. A couple of weeks ago, one of his ears stood up too. Then, after a day or two, I noticed that it was now the other ear standing up and that the first one was floppy again! Then a couple of days after that, he woke up with both floppy and they haven't gone back up yet. I read though that it is normal when they are teething for them to flop and that they usually stand back up once they are done teething. I guess they can only concentrate on one thing at a time!

| Both my dog went through having one ear up one down at one time and they came up on there own. Sometimes when they are teething their ears will go down.
