| Another Horrible Story... I quite often think of this and how horrible these people might feel. A couple of years ago my sister-in-law told me of a story about some people she knew. They had a little Maltese and one day it goes missing from their gated backyard. Nothing amiss that they could see of how she got out. Up went the flyers, contacting shelters, ads in newspaper, car rides calling her name, but to no avail. They searched for her forever but she was gone....... Spring came and time to open the pool. When they took the cover off of the pool there lay in the pool their little girl who disappeared months earlier. Apparently the little one got through the pool gate and was walking on the pool cover and fell in. I thought I would share this because it is that time of the year when pools are covered. I would hate to hear/read another story such as this one. |

| That is so sad. I would never be the same if that happened to one of mine.

| What a horrible story. I'm glad we have an above ground pool the ladder is stored for the winter. It would destroy me if I ever found my dogs drowned. |

| Sooooo sad!!!!! That's exactly why I took the exercise pen apart and put it in front of the gates to our pool so they are double guarded from the pool! My next house will not have a pool!!!!

| You may remember, but we had a long-time member that lost their little yorkie in a backyard pond. I forget their username now. So sad.
