| When does there coat color start to change? Marley is a little over 4 months now and her coat color hasn't changed much (if at all). When does their adult coloring start to show? Oops, meant their*** on the thread title!

| I think it all depends. Jackson started changing the most after his second haircut. Suddenly all the black puppy fur was gone! But he still seems to changing, in smaller ways, at over 2yrs old... every time he comes back from the groomer, I swear he is a different color, LOL!! But I've seen some Yorkies who stay their dark black/tan all their lives. First pic-9 weeks Second pic-4 months-ish Third pic-1 year Fourth pic-2 yrs

| Yeah it really depends, Oliver is almost 11 months and he still has the black puppy coloring on his coat but his face is almost all blonde. Hehe I just dropped him off at the groomers so his little black coat might be gone today! You'll start to see his head change first, he'll look like he's going gray haha. But I think it all depends on the yorkie, enjoy the puppy look while you can! I have a feeling Oliver is going to look like his momma and be a little blondie all over! The first pic is Oliver at 12 weeks The second pic is him at 4 months and you can see he's starting to change The third pic he's 8 months old (and got shaved haha)

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Each yorkie is different, some change colour earlier then others. I think Poppy was around 4/5 months when she started to change colour, but most was just at the roots. When they take a trip to the groomers you can see how much they have changed. Some dont get their adult colours until around 1-3 years old!
