Shelter surprise 4 Attachment(s) This morning when I went to the shelter I volunteer at of the animal health techs said I have something to show you. So a few minutes later she comes in with this baby yorkie. Someone got it at 5 weeks and it ended up in the Animal Emergency with hypoglycemia and seizures. They didn't want her and the hospital called the shelter and they took her. She is 7 weeks old and cute as button. She is being fostered by the vet tech and there are several people wanting to adopt her. They are going to wait until she is older and bigger to adopt her out and be very picky where she goes. I just held her and thought how could some one do this. I will be following her closely! |
Oh, she is so adorable, I'm glad she is in good hands...:) |
what a precious little baby |
Im glad she is getting good care now. She has definitely had a rough start and went to her new home way too early. |
She is just the sweetest thing!!! God bless you people for caring for her. I hope she finds a wonderful family to love. |
My gosh...she is as adorable as what you told me on the phone. What a warm feeling you must have gotten holding that little bundle of joy! Thank goodness she is being well taken care of and can eventually find her forever home. I am in love! What a darling baby! |
Oh, what a sweet little girl :( It's sad what people will do when they find out their puppy is sick...I'm glad she's in good hands now, thank you for doing what you do! |
I'm glad she is in good hands...how sad poor little baby |
What a precious little puppy. I'm glad that baby made it through its rough start in life! |
The tech said she is very playful and interacting with her other babies. She has another yorkie and some chichuahua's all rescues many with chronic illnesses. I know this ilttle one is in great hands and will only go to a great home. |
oh my goodness!!! I just want to give her a little LOVE squeeze. :D I can't imagine how anyone could not want her!! |

If you think that's bad...take a look at Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue Adoptions and Shop at our "Available Rescues" and check out the :aimeeyorkMomma & litter of THREE lil' :animal36boys that were surrendered at 7 weeks. People just never seem to amaze me but, the flip-side of that is the amazement I find in the generousity of others, ready to jump in and lend their all for the innocent victims of reckless breeding! Good luck to this little darling Yorkie and hope to see updates!:) |
She's adorable, Patti. Unbelievable that someone got her at 5 weeks! Poor lil baby. |
So cute! So when are you taking her home??? :D |

[QUOTE=miabellaamoure;3422540]If you think that's bad...take a look at Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue Adoptions and Shop at our "Available Rescues" and check out the :aimeeyorkMomma & litter of THREE lil' :animal36boys that were surrendered at 7 weeks. Don't send me to links like that.:( Here I sit at my desk at work in tears. I just read the story about Dink. Of course I had to donate. sniff sniff |
so cute-- If I lived near by I would want to adopt her:) |
Awwwww!!! What a precious little baby!! I hope that she finds an amazing home, how sad that she was abandoned :( I would take her in an instant!! |
Poor baby. She is in better hands now. The owners probably got her at a pet store and when the hypo issue came up with vet bill they probably freaked. Once you start doing your research you can get a bit overwhelmed when you read about shunts and other health issues. They probably feared that they would have a very sick puppy on their hands. People should always be wise and do all their homework on a dog before they run out and buy one. Glad she will be taken care of an a good family will be found for her. |
omg!!! 5 weeks old!!! I don't understand how breeders can live with themselves taking babies away from their momma's so young!!! I'm soooooooooo GLAD she's in good and capable hands now! Picking which home she goes to will probably be the hardest decision for that precious little one!!! Please keep us posted on her progress and forever home placement..in the future!! |
