So just how big is your dog?

Random question of the day! :)

How big is your dog? Just out of pure curiosity.

I had to measure him recently for something I'm buying.

Height: 11 inches from floor to shoulder
Length: 15 inches
Neck: 11.5 inches
Girth: 16.5 inches
Weight: 16.1lbs

Neck is probably 4 inches, lol. I don't even want to know because my boys' tiny necks scare me. Max is 8 pounds, 2 oz, and Teddy is 7.0 pounds.

All of Jackson's weight must be in his full tail, otherwise I don't see where he is hiding those pounds. ;):p

Kaji is...

Height: 9.5 in
Length: 10.75 in (base of neck to base of tail)
Neck: 7.5 in (maybe .25 less since he has so much thick, fluffy hair)
Girth: 13 in (again prob .25 less)
Weight: 7 lbs (last time we checked)

16 lbs.!? I think this is further evidence that Jackson has Silky bones. My Dori is 6.5 lbs, but my last pure-bred Yorkie, Peach, was a giant compared to her siblings and weighed in at 11 lbs. Lots more to love!

I was going to say the same thing,definetly looks like Jackson is part Silky.

Remy weighs 4 lbs at 6 months. I'm guessing he will be 5-6lbs mature. My schnauzer weighs 21 lbs lol :).

Sadie is 5.6 lbs Gracie is 4.5lbs Mikey is 4lbs Lexi is 5lbs and Keeper is 2.8lbs

Just because he is 16 pounds dosent mean he has silky in him

Length from neck to tail:15"
Height:11.5"
Girth:19"
Neck:10.5"
Weigh:16 Pounds

My moms rescue Sammy's neck is just .5 bigger, he is one pound lighter and a little taller other then that they have the same measurements. I am the one who orders there matching outfits for holidays so thats why I had his measurements :D. He actually might be the same weight as Callie now he was on the thin side when she got him and he looks better now.

:thumbup: A lot of people I encounter think Maximo is a Silky because he is bigger than 5 pounds. There are lots of full Yorkies who weigh much more.

Okay, here goes....

My little teapot's measurements:
Height: 10 inches- she wouldn't cooperate and I'm not completely sure where the shoulder starts.
Length: 14.5
Neck: 9.5
Girth: 14.5- ish
Weight:just under 9lbs last time I had her weighed :cool:

Measuring height means in line with the shoulder, from the floor all the way to the topline.

Weight: 2.5 lbs (according to my kitchen scale)

Any guesses as to how big she'll end up?

Petta is approx. 6" tall, 8" long and weighs 4 pounds at 8 months old. She eats non-stop and has me completely wrapped around her dear cuteness. Never want to be without a Yorkie!

Only time will tell, but you can estimate by doubling the weight at 12 weeks of age. Some say double the weight and add a pound.
