I was wondering the same thing I know how Chloe loves to chew on everything all the presents will be open before Christmas gets here she loves to shred paper. |
This year we are going to have the tree and presents in the other lounge so we can shut prudence out if we need to as I am worried she might eat decorations off the tree and choke. |
This will be Kacee's first Christmas, so I am excited to see how she reacts to the lights etc... I can still remember Muffin when she first saw the lights and how enthralled she was by them, but she never did bother anything. :) |
haha Simon was so little his first Christmas, he was only 3 months old and he thought every ornament on the tree was a new toy! And he loved loved loved ripping the wrapping paper off the presents! Last year I had just moved here and didn't have a tree but I'm interested in how he and Hallie (it will be her first tree with me) will react to it. Someone at work made the comment I should decorate the tree with soccer balls, um not such a good idea, he would have it torn down in no time! Take lots of pictures of your babies during their first Christmas, I can't wait to see all of them! |
this is interesting to know. what about glass ornaments?? |
I was wondering the same thing about the christmas tree. this is hayleys first christmas too and she is into everything now in a way I am kinnda dreading it I dont want to scream at her all the time over the tree and I dont want to keep her locked up away fr us in another room. I know Christmas can pose a major danger.....dont know what to do, hope someone has some good ideas on this |
Willy was never a problem with the Christmas tree. Our cats are our problem children with the tree. When they were younger we would tie the tree to the nails that pictures were on(we take them down when the tree goes up). I decorate the tree with the animals in mind, I use glass balls on the upper portion & satin balls on the lower, NO tinsel & I use the beaded garland. I have to redecorate the lower portion of my tree every evening as the cats remove the balls and they are all over the house. I love the holiday & there is no point in cleaning up broken ornaments. My cats look forward to the tree every year, Willy doesn't really care either way. Desiree :) |
LOL!!! Ok here it goes. We don't put anything under the tree, untill Christmas morning. We don't hang anything on the tree at their reach. A few years ago, we came home and all the Candy Canes were gone. Only plastic wrapers on the carpet. Roxanee & Poncho looking up at us, with the look of "What did we do wrong". Princess was in the clear, as she was with us. To be on the safe side, this year we will be getting a four foot tree and putting it up on a table. Who knows what Mandy would do to the tree. Good Luck!!!! |
Last year we decided not to get a Xmas tree cause we were afraid that Gucci will get into the decorations. We got a little fake tree for the table and kept the gifts away from her reach. We are thinking to do the same this year just to be safe. I found this info on the ASPCA website, just so we all are aware of things that can be dangerous for our babies. http://www.aspca.org/site/News2?page...s_iv_ctrl=1101 |
Last year was Peawees first christmas and he never bothered the gifts however he did think that he should at least pee under the tree as much as possible.lol |
I put my xmas tree in the play pen the first year. solved the problem of the little one getting into trouble. decorated the top of the play pen to make it look more festive. |
Last year was Magic's first christmas but she was only three months old and we weren't in town to worry about a christmas tree so this will really be the girls first Christmas....we have decided to put the tree up in another room so we can watch them when we are at home but shut it off when we are gone!! My two destroyers would totally want to chew up everything!! |
I'm scared to death. Last year, Chester and Gracie didn't pay the tree no mind. Left the gifts alone too...but we have Rebel this year. Good Lord, what am I going to do????? |
