yeah im pretty worried about how Crunchy will handle the tree and ornaments... this will be his FIRST CHRISTMAS! hmm just in case, would it be dangerous for them if they were to eat/chew on the actual branches/needles?? |
puppy Just put an xpen around the tree. It keeps dogs, cats and kids out of it. They have gold xpens so it will still look festive. :o) It does work. |
In addition to a regular Christmas tree, we had a minature one that we put on the coffee table. It sang and danced. Lacey was scared of it. It was motion activated. Lacey would bark like crazy whenever it would go off and jump like a mile in the air. Her last Christmas before she died, she got brave. She started slapping it with her paws. The real Christmas tree never bothered her. She would lay on the rug underneath it and chew on her bone. And she loved opening her own gift on Christmas morning. All you had to do is say, "Lacey, go get your present" And she would go under the tree and start sniffing for hers. Once she got, she would start ripping the paper until she got it open. |

xpen You can tie some little ribbons in places around the xpen that the dogs hopefully won't mess with. You can also spray paint the xpen a different color if you like, I'm going to make my new one gold this weekend. A christmas tree just doesn't look right w/out presents under it! Good luck! |

Maybe I will get some belly bands for Obie, so he doesn't mess under the tree. That is too cute! |
