Poppy is getting her first hair cut today!
 
I have been trying to get Poppy into the groomers for months now but they have all been fully booked, I had a few appointments but things always seemed to come up and they got cancelled (the last being the groomers own dog was ill). But today Poppy is FINALLY getting her hair cut! and its a good job too because she can hardly see LOL! I want her cut quite short because she hates to be brushed and her coat wont mat as easily if it is short. Im at work so my mum is taking her today at 2.30, I just hope that the groomer is able to cut her hair and that she dosnt make too much of a fuss. Cant wait to see her when I get home!

I will take some photos for sure! I cant wait to see her :) I just hope she dosnt savage the groomer LOL!

Just spoken to my mum who has taken her to the groomers, she said she is being good as gold and actually letting the lady groom her!
Im in shock! because every time I try to even BRUSH her hair it's like a fight to the death with her going wild LOL. I have asked for her to be cut very short because she hates it so much. I cant wait to see what she looks like! she will look so different.

OMG I love her hair cut! She looks so different!
She looks really skinny and her head looks HUGE LOL. She looks so tiny I cant believe how much hair she had, loads of clothes that I thought were too small for her will fit her now. :D
The downside.. Jess dosnt know who she is anymore and has been barking and snapping at her ever since she came back :( I think maybe when she smells \'normal\' again and not like perfume stuff then she may recognise her, so fingers crossed.

Her haircut looks great! She looks so nice and neat and you can see her face so clearly. What a cutie she is. Isn't it funny how skinny they look when you cut their hair short?

Oh my! She has such a pretty face! I agree - it's funny how your chubby little dog turns into this svelte young girl after a good haircut. Wish it worked the same for humans...

I know LOL my mum was like "OMG look how skinny she is feed her!!" and started piling more food in her bowl LOL she's not under weight she just looks thin because she has short hair! you cant see or feel her ribs or anything LOL but she totally thinks im starving her :rolleyes: even though she always gobbles up her dinner like a little piggy. :p

Also I think my older dog Jess is being nasty to her out of jelousy, Jess could do with loosing a few pounds and I think she hates that Poppy is now slim and is making her look bigger. ;)

Thanks everyone :) I love how soft her coat is and it will be so much easier to maintain seen as she hates being brushed, coats and jumpers also matt her coat really bad but she needs to wear them here at the moment because it's so cold. So at least now she can wear them without being matted. :)
I like how her tail is kept long too, I asked for that because she has a break in the end of her tail and although its old and totally healed it still looks sore, now she has a feather duster tail! :D

Oh and there will be no more brushing, no more butt washes and her eyes are much easier to clean. She will be pleased LOL. :D

Could you tell how much better she felt? I have always noticed they act like a new doggie after a haircut.
