Getting another Foster tomorrow. I don't know much about her yet. All I know she is a poodle mix. Kim from Little Dog Rescue is bringing her to us tomorrow. I would like to thank the member who posted about Little Dog Rescue last year, I'm sorry I can't remember who it was. I had applied to the local Yorkie rescue group and never heard back from them, so it was nice to find a rescue group we could foster for. We are enjoying being a part of their journey to their furever homes. |
How wonderful for the little pup! You make great parents.:) |
Thank you SO much for fostering! There are so many furbabies needing people like you! :) |
Enjoy your precious little foster. Post pictures when you get the chance. |
What a blessing! Good luck with her. I love my mom's poodle mix... Awesome little dog. I hope she finds a wonderful home. |
You are so sweet to help these doggies out; good luck with this new one. |
Sylvia, It was me that posted before for your last foster. Thank you for opening your home again to another dog with that group. You are a life saver! Celeste |

Bless you for taking in a rescue. I wonder if you would let me post to my FB page your saying on the bottom. I have loved it the first time I saw it. |
Looking forward to pictures. Thank you for opening your home and your hearts to these little ones. |

Alyssa is the little girl I will be getting sometime today. Kim (from LDR) says she isn't listed on the site yet, she had a bad ear infection that has affected her balance, so she walks slow. She says she is very sweet and sleeps a lot. I will take pics as soon as I get her. (and will make an album for her). We love fostering. I wish more people would foster, it is so rewarding. |
Can't wait to see pictures of the lucky little girl. |
That's so great you are fostering another baby. I know she will be in great hands until her forever home is found. |

It is better that Fritz comes back to us than having LDR find a different foster home for him. He knows us. |
Bless Fritz heart. He has had a little bump in the road for his journey. I am sure that he will find his forever home soon. I also want to thank you for helping with these fosters. I was working with the Papillon Rescue for some time but the barking was causing problems with one of my neighbors. So I had to stop fostering with them. We were getting a lot of adults from puppymills being busted up in the north. They had no room for them up there and transported them down. I have submitted applications with other rescues but they rejected me when they found out that I had 2 children under the age of 10. I know it is a guideline that they use for the safety and well being of the rescues. It just frustrated me because I want to help and cant. :( I raised my girls properly and they know how to treat puppies and dogs. For instance, they were allowed around my litters (supervised of course) after they were 4 weeks old. This worked great to teach them but also for socialization of the puppies. I would have been happy to have opened my home to a home inspection/observation by the rescue to evaluate if my home was a good foster canidate. I still help when I can with transport, home inspections and donations for the Papillon rescue and SPCA. I just wish I could do more. God bless you and your home!!!!!! |
What a wonderful human being you are, filling your space on the planet, by opening your home to these little creatures...You are an inspiration, as are all the other foster moms out there! Look forward to hearing about this little girls world w/her foster parents, as she transitions to her furever home... |
Your the best! :thumbs up:thumbs up:thumbs up |
I just an email from a local group and I got approved to foster. YEAH!!!!!! |

I would think someone with three flights of open stairs would think of that as a problem for a sight-impaired dog, besides a problem for any small dog. |

They are a lovely couple and when I discovered he was coming back I asked Kim about refunding the adoption fee (the contract they signed says that if the dog is returned within 5 days they get 50% of the fee back), and she said to just return their check to them. However when I asked them about the check the husband said to donate it. When the wife had called me to confirm they were bringing Fritz back I mentioned the check and she said she wasn't worried about it. I just took it to mean that it wasn't foremost in her mind. But apparently she meant they didn't want the check back. Bruce said she was crying when they brought Fritz back. I didn't go outside as I thought they would be coming in with Fritz, so was surprised when Bruce brought Fritz back in the house and they weren't with him. Pity they had the stairs. They would have given Fritz a lot of love. |
