| I just switched to Isle of Dogs shampoo and conditioner and also giving Beamer and Lil Bit the Royal Jelly as a supplement. After three weeks I am noticing their coats are really benefiting. Isle of Dogs On the home page they have a "Coat Check" fill out the questionnaire and they will advise you which of their products is best for your little ones coat.

| I agree with Beamers Mom - we use Isle of Dogs too. We use the Everyday line - Jasmine and Vanilla Silky Coating shampoo and conditioner. It smells nice without being too perfume-ish and gentle enough to use once a week (although the bottle says gentle enough to use every day, I wouldn't bathe them every day!)

Does your food contain fish oil? If not you could consider fish oil supplements. Also most key is the rinsing out of any shampoo, rinse, rinse, and when you think you've rinsed enough, rinse some more I quite like Iv St Bernard as well ISB for short. Biogroom is quite good - Biogroom Silk Conditioner does impart a good sheen to the coat. I use the Oatmeal shampoo as well. IOD is very very good. Try the Gloss Shampoo and Nutrient Masque, and follow the directions exactly. Leave on that Masque (which is a deep conditioning one for 5 minutes). This is a special shampoo and conditioner that is used infrequently, they have others which is for wkly maintenance bathing ( I have a thread on Grooming section, called IOD) If you are close to dog shows visit because often times IOD has a booth there, and they will give you some samples of their products, or if you order on line/by phone, product a b or c, they will often put in some samples of their other products. Happy shopping

| I've tried many shampoos and conditioners on Tatum. She has real soft straight hair that rarely mats. I don't even need to brush her hardly between baths. I finally started using the Nature's Specialties line (loved how she came back from the groomer one time and asked her what she used - this was years ago). We use the Plum Silky shampoo and the Re-moisturizer conditioner. Love it!! I order it on-line. Not sure if it's carried in stores. Pet Shampoo for Dogs and Cats - Nature's Specialties

| Second for Minksheen! Just bought a bottle of Minksheen and washed my guy with it literally 10 minutes ago. - dried in 1/2 the time! - it's a shampoo & conditioner so he liked only being rinsed once - I didn't pre-brush him before the bath which usually spells trouble but it was super easy to brush him out and not one tangle - made his coat look light and fluffy yet it lays really flat - he looks shiny / silvery but not greasy |
