Sometimes, when someone loses a pet, they may be elderly, and not really know how to search.

Thank you YT members for all your support . I am going through a bad time emotionally, because my brother is moving accross the USA very soon. We did not grow up together, we were all separated by CPS at young ages. I say this because I am already grieving for the loss of my biological brother.... And he was the one who found this baby pup.
If I have exhausted all efforts of locating the owners , I am thinking about tring to have my DR. write a letter stating that she would be a service dog. We do have 2 already . However , the thought of losing this puppy could send me completely over the edge.... If the circumstances do not change, and the owner does not come forward, i am really falling for this little gal. Caring for her these last few days and literally having to "rescue" her from the ailments has giving me a real attatchment towards her. I never have done this before. The 2 I have came from a Breeder , not from either being lost or let out on purpose.
I can't imangine anyone doing that , but her condition was just awful when found.
About the eating , she really loves chicken, and today she ate some mixed with Wellness canned , organic kind. Plus she eats better when I hand feed her for some reason.
My son actually named her. We call her Emma . This little yorkie pup looks very much like the standard breed. She has more gold on her face and legs then my Suzi, who is a darker colored yorkie.
It is day 3 having her , and the longer she is here the easier it is for her. Since Suzi and Miely are so small, perhaps their would be a chance my Doctor would write the letter. It would be legit. Both my son and I are disabled.
If nobody claims her , I am always going to be bothered by the way she was found and looked.
If the dog catcher found her she surely would of been PTS. Their are many dogs always running loose in this small town. Lots of Chi's . I live in a community that are primarily hispanic , not a problem, it is just that their are truely way too many little dogs running around the streets . You have to slam on your brakes going through neighborhoods to avoid hitting either cats or dogs.
If I had a chance to keep her , then YES I would.

Have you taken her to the area vet clinic to see if they know who she belonged to?

It sounds a lot like East LA. I hate driving to work, so many dogs loose on the street. I almost hit 3 in the last 6 months. I want to get a free s/n program to come out here and fix all the dogs that are running around and those for low income families. No more dogs breeding in the streets!

Our town is very small, we do not have a local vet . Th nearest vet hospitals or clinincs is a 45min drive. I did have her scanned by the dog catcher. No chip. No collar, no ID tags , nothing.

I am hearing how much you want to keep this puppy in your post. What have you done to find the owners? Please don't neglect to try all avenues to find the owners because subconsciously you want to keep her. That is a natural feeling, especially if you thought she was not in the best of shape -- but remember, it does not take long for a yorkie to look pretty messed up when out in the elements without a daily brushing. She may well have an owner in tears praying for her return. Maybe an elderly owner who has no one in the world but this little dog to keep them company, maybe a child who loves this little one more than anything, a handicapped person who cannot get out and about easily but loves her little dog..... so many things can happen to accidently set one loose and then one wrong turn and the pup is lost, or it could have even been stolen and then got away from the thieves....so please make sure you do everything you can, contact all the shelters, animal control, vets, and rescues in your area to make sure you have given the pup a good chance of being reunited with its owner.

Thank you Debra, I am trying to do all of this. Thinking it as if this were my puppy how I'd feel , I understand the importance of looking for the owner. I have not stoppted doind so.

do your best.. if the puppy was meant to be your it will happen ..but your heart will always feel guilty if you don't do ALL you can to find her home.
