| One of my boys watches TV I just realized the other day that my oldest but smallest guy, Angus, really watches TV. I always noticed that he and Trouble would both bark if a dog barked or if there was loud screaming, etc. but Angus started batcking at the TV a couple of days ago a I looked. There were lions on but the sound was turned down so he couldn't have heard them. He was trying to leap at them, too. Then I started watching and he barks whenever any kind of animal comes on whether it makes a sound or not if he is awake and looking. There are also two commercials that he seems to like the music. When they come on, he gets as close to the TV as he can and stares at it and wags his tail as fast as he can but doesn't bark He is a hoot. Last edited by eddiesmom14; 01-12-2011 at 11:10 PM. | How cute that must be - and TV buddies too! My babies don't pay much attention to the TV - except any door bell sounds. I have a lab (sweet boy that my yorkies TOTALLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF!) that loves to watch the computers as we are on them! He literally looks like he is reading! It is so funny! What joy our pets bring us in so many ways. |

| Pippin is the first dog I've had that watches TV. When he was little we had his x-pen in front of the TV and my daughter would put cartoons on for him. |

| My Chloe watches TV too. She will sit on the edge of the bed or couch and just watch the television for long periods of time, like a person, it is weird. She also will bark at dogs when they come on the screen whether they make noise or not These Yorkies are really a bit too smart for their own good sometimes.

| Callie will watch the Tv too she doesn't bark much so she doesn't bark at it but she will definitely watch it. Sometimes I swear it looks like she is laying where she can just watch the tv.

| Mine have always barked at a TV show door bell, and I've said "it's the TV" so many times over the years that they now stop barking and come back into the sun room whenever I say it. They never watch TV though.

| Though Angus is the first dog I've had that actually seems to watch TV and not just react to it once in a while, it seems it's not unusual. I agree that Yorkie's are smarter than most other dogs, or smarter in different ways, anyway. I did once have a cockatiel that loved Winnie the Pooh videos and would dance on her perch to them when my niece came over and I put in a DVD. Her male mate loved Guns & Roses, too, and would bob his head in perfect time to the music. |

| Lily will watch too! They say dogs can't see colors really well but she likes shows that are brightly colored. Here she is watching it; the TV is above me behind me. http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/P1210007.jpg She'll also follow the pointer on the computer screen when I'm on the computer and she's on my lap.

| Aww haha! Teddy watches tv too. He especially loves "It's Me or the Dog" and Dogs 101. I had Dogs 101 on one night when they were doing a segment on Yorkies. He was glued to the tv the entire time. Anything on animal planet pretty much holds his attention. |
