Do you love it when they stretch? Marcel is up on my computer desk (very awkward to type) and he just did his version of stretching. It's so flippin' cute :D! He's so little and compact...so his stretches don't actually *go* anywhere, but he really tries so hard. Goes down on his front legs...then stretches upward on front legs and extends one leg backward...jutting out behind him...trying so very hard to work it all out. When Pfeiffer stretches, she looks like a little frog - bc she *loves* to make frog legs out behind her, and then uses her front legs to crawl/pull forward to stretch. And her back legs just drag relaxingly behind her.... Wylie prefers to stretch like the big dogs. BIG stretches, very extended. Like dog yoga. He loved being 'stretched' by hubby when he was a puppy...hubby would put his hands on Wylie's torso and Wylie would just loooooove the stretch assistance. Do you love watching them stretch? No matter how many times they do it, it's as cute as the last time....:). |
YES! I thought I was the only crazy one :D Chloe has by far the cutest stretch imaginable- each one is sooooo long and drawn out :p |

OMG! Yes. The cutest thing ever! When Moka stretches, she lets out this low pitch moan like "oooooooooooh" with a bit of a gargle in her voice. It is so stinking funny! |
My favorite is when my boys are in my bed on their backs and they stretch themselves out full length. They look 4 feet long! The other one I enjoy is the "pushup" that starts with a sort of play bow, tush in the air. Then they extend their necks and heads up high, pushing their hips to the floor while stretching each back leg out straight. Then boom, they sit and yawn. |
Yeah, Poppy stretches every morning before she gets out of her crate. Sometimes she throws a little yawn in there too. :) |
My mom calls it Kaji's morning yoga. He stretches on the floor, extending his legs and separating his toes. Then he goes to the couch and puts his front paws on the couch to stretch some more. The entire time he stretches, he does these big drawn out yawns. It's a rare treat to watch him add the back legs. Seems the back legs don't need as much stretching. :p |
Yes it is mega cute to see them stretch. They both do it differently. My cats are cute when they do it also |
It does look like Yoga when my girls stretch usually. If Maddie is still in the bed she does a full bodystretch like Kristen mentioned. :p soo cute and she looks soooo long. They do that little shake is if they are trying to get every millimeter out of their stretch. :) |
They look so cute when they strecth. Before we got out, I get Sammy's leash and I tell him to do stretchies and he does. Then I put the leash on and we go for a walk. |
I love when they stretch. It is so cute. My boy likes to get on his belly and reach one paw forward and then the other and switch back and forth. My little girl lays on her back, arches her back and stretches all four paws out in front of her at the same time. I also like it when they reach out their front paws and stick their but up while yawning. It is all so stinking cute. What about when they rub their eyes with their paws? |

I didn't realize dogs stretched differently. Thor does the adorable poses named for dogs, downward and upward facing dog. He almost always does them together. I read that those poses show love and respect when the dog is doing them in front of you, but I'm pretty sure Thor is just stretching. When he's reaaaaaaaally relazed during a tummy rub, he raises his front legs up over his head. It looks like he's being put under arrest. Hilarious and darling, natch. |
My little man stretches every morning and let's out a big yawn. Then he comes to me for his morning cuddle. :) they are soooo darn cute when they stretch. Love it! |
Or when they stretch really big, and let out a little toot! :eek: Sometimes they acknowledge it, sometimes they look at you like WTH was that! LOL so funny! OR the sleepy stretch when they lay on their sides, curl into a ball and do the 4-leg paw touch while stretching their neck back while in a deep sleep. |
Love the entire morning routine!! Big stretches, yawns and then a good shake to get the hair right.....I love the morning....if I am still asleep, Trixie will come up to my face and put her little nose right against mine till I open my eyes...then a great big tail way and lots of smooches!!! |

Rio even stretches on command - I just say "stretchy stretchy" and she gets on her belly and starts pulling herself forward with her front paws. Then she always finishes off her stretch by flipping on her back for a belly rub. Bullet does the standing stretch, extending his back legs one at a time. He looks like he's doing yoga! |

Oh yeah, Thor LOVES to army crawl! I didn't know that was stretching. He does it anytime he gets excited and is near a rug. I think he looks like a furry little submarine. |
I was just thinking about this this morning. Ziva does this crazy cute stretch in the mornings. She does the stretch pictured in the one above.. it's so stinkin cute cuz she is so tiny... then she lays on her back and swooshes from side to side... so goofy. |

Chewie almost always does frog legs when he's chewing his bully stick. His favorite stretch is the "superman" stretch. He lays on his belly, stretches his front feet forward and his back feet backward, all the while yawning hugely. So funny! |
I LOVE when Taycie stretches. This how she usually wakes me up. She will climb on my back and stretch her little front legs with her rump in the air... then she will come over and attack my face with kisses! I love it! One of my favorite things:) |

i think it's super cute too. Sadie's stretching is always front paws straight out and back arched up like a cat. and Bentley will first do that way and pause for awhile then he'll entend his back legs out and do the froggie crawl and drag his back legs behind him for a few. his whole belly touches the ground and drags along. it's super silly. he also likes to roll and flip on carpet and beds and couches we call it "rubbing his stink on things" :D |
