Terrible Message on Candle for Rikki
 
I am heartsick. I copied & will paste a message that was posted on the Light a Candle site, for Nikki a.k.a. Rikki.

"No More Money For Nikki! Burning down your own house is no way to live. She needs to grow up and learn to be responsible! Lord, keep the $ but help her.
— JJM from MO, United States"

Does anyone have any idea who would post this kind of message?

Sandra was devastated when she read it.

Yes, she has posted in her lost ads that she is offering a cash reward, but for the life of me, I can't understand, why, anyone would post such a terrible message on a prayer site.

I know, Donna - I am just heartsick.

I hope someone just posted on the wrong link.

The only thing I can think, is the message is aimed at Elisa, because she lost Lacy in July, and now she lost my friend Sandra's, Rikki.

I wouldn't let something like that bother me. There are so many mean spirited people that say things just to try to hurt others. Then when it works they feed off the negativity and hurt they created.

i don't have a clue what happened with Rikki, but whatever happened that post seems horrible and cruel. i'm sorry that happened. is there a way to remove it so she won't be hurt by it. it's a site for prayers not evil wishes. :( very sad. God knows who they are.

That's terrible!! How could someone be so heartless?! Unfortunately, there are mean spirited people in this world. What goes around, comes around! They will get theirs.

Sounds like some one posted on the wrong site, meaning for Nikki not Rikki. I wouldn't let it get to you. There are people like that out there and they will answer for their ways in the end.

Sandra is so upset, she feels like it as ruined Rikki's site.

I told her it just has to be an error.

I think they posted on the wrong site, too, but even so that is a terrible thing to post to anyone.

They sure will answer for it.

I know. Even if it is meant for someone else, it's cruel.

I don't know of a way to take it down, but when it burns down, I am going to watch to see if they re-light one.

If it really was ment for Rikki's page then that is a horrible thing to say. But don't let it upset you, just remember all the support you have!

I agree, it makes no sense at all, no one's house has burned down.

Thank you, I keep reminding my friend, Sandra, that we have so many YT Angles, praying for Rikki.

That's horrible. I'd think this sick person was just randomly posting horrible msges on candle pages. Imagine if they posted on a parents page for their sick child. :(

Thank You. Frotunately, the candle burned down, and they did not come back and re-light it.

Oh, I would hate to imagine that they would post it on a parent's site for their sick child. (:

It is so cruel when people do and say deliberately mean things. Many times it is just to provoke a reaction. They get a kick out of hurting other people. How miserable they must be in their own lives. I send my prayers to Sandra and Rikki.

You are absolutely right. But, thankfully, everyone else has been so supportive!

I know, that time keeps passing, and Sandra gets discouraged, but surely, with so many prayers, and the amber alert, flyer's, Lost ads, some kind person will have found Rikki and help to get her home.

The person who did that is sick. In one way or another, they are very sick. I'm very sorry to hear that was posted, it's cruel :(.

There are certain types of people on the internet, or on forums, or just slinking around random sites - and one of their goals is to intentionally send hateful messages to others. They are sitting at home, thinking of vile things to say - with the goal of actually hurting a fellow human being. When one considers just what kind of person it takes to do something like that and just how unhappy that person must be to want to do that, it pretty much makes their vitriol just wash away (bc the hate is really aimed right at themselves).

In my time at YT, I've been the target of hate-mail....and I won't even read it. It just doesn't have meaning, and it really does work when you consider the source.

Please tell your friend that for any mean person out there, there are likely 10,000 more who support her :).

Please let Sandra know that I have been thinking about her so much over the past few weeks.. I keep praying that Rikki is safe somewhere...I feel awfull that someone would post such a nasty thing on the "candle site".. How mean!! But at lest the candled burned out...

There are alot of people praying for Rikki and Sandra :)

I'll try to explain, briefly. My friend, Sandra, an Exhibitor/Breeder of Maltese, placed a 3 year old Maltese, Rikki, with a lady she knows in MI. 58 hours later, the womans 27 year old son let Rikki outside, (even after strict orders from his mother that she was not to go outside) and she ran. She survived her 1st night out, and was spotted at two church's a block apart.

So, when she was first missing, I started a link on the candle site, misspelled Rikki- with an N instead of an R.

So, someone posted a nasty message on the site. Thankfully, it's gone now.
