Human grade is not a legally defined term. Most of it is not okay for people even beforee processing. Food is either fit for human consumption or unfit for human consumption. Human grade is not really defined. I think a lot of YT members would be really surprised to see some of these human grade ingredients. You would need to ask the company if it is fit for human consumption or not. I look at guaranteed analysis before ingredients. I'm not totally against feeding pork. Fat is fat. I'd say any feeding of ham or bacon at home (even a tiny bite) is a really bad idea. |

Well I feed raw, and mix the ingredients myself. Their treats are also home made. Their training treats will consist of chicken or lamb, or lean roast beef. Sometimes liver. I use sometimes cheerios as the only store bought treat I feed. And yes they do get green beans, blueberries, a little of squash, frozen sweet potatoe, broccoli, a little teeney potatoe bit at times. It can be a hassle feeding raw when you are travelling, but we have learnt to cope. |

Just a note here...I don't feed my dogs pork as I don't eat it...and they don't eat red meat as well..ye that too I've always found that with potatoes my dogs get a tummy ache not sure why but after the second time I don't give them potatoes that are uncooked...Scoobers despite not supposed to be eating grains...LOVES pasta and also cheats and gets the odd small red cooked potato-anyone else know hwy potatoes would cause stomach discomfort for them when raw? Is it the starch? |

regarding op- remy has his own dishes so he eats off a plate but it is not mine he never eats from flatware and any "people food" is given to him on his plate or from our hand in the kitchen. This way he knows what is his further we are very careful with what he may get consistent with many other replies |

No human food for Sophie Kate except Cheerios (for training purposes). I learned a valuable lesson when she was about 8 months old and someone gave her something that did not agree with her. After staying up with her all night because she was sick and taking to the vet first thing in the morning I learned she gets three things daily; Dog Food Water Training Treats (Charlie Bear Dog treats or Cheerios). I also do not let her eat off my plate, that was something I started with my cat years ago and it has just carried over. Honestly I don't like sharing my plates and utensils with humans or animals. |
Snoopy's brother had a little tummy upset once, and we boiled some chicken breast for him, and some white rice. Of course, that's what Snoopy had for dinner that night too. Both were fed from a spoon, because it looked kinda messy. So now, we pretend Snoopy fakes a cough and says, "I fink I is sick. *cough*. Pwease to feed me chicky rice. *cough*" (You all talk for your dogs, right?);) Seriously, though, DH would feed Snoopy everything on his plate, but DD and I scolded him so much that when he gets his dinner, he grabs a dog treat to feed Snoopy while he eats. (I don't let Snoopy beg, though, which is defined as standing by DH and eyeing his food. He has to sit. Not sure quite how that makes it ok . . .) |
