Another Big Update On Rikki/Nikki Rebecca just called me. She is in Ypsilanti, at the church. The Pastor was there, and he showed her where he had seen Rikki. There are FRESH tiny dog prints on top of tire tracks, 2' from the sidewalk, so Rikki is out there! It has not snowed there again, so the tracks are FRESH. Rebecca is going to stay there awhile, and investigate an area, and wait to see if Rikki comes out. Rebecca is going to call me, if she finds Rikki tonight. Please pray that she finds her tonight. |
praying! I hope they find her tonight! |
Praying as hard as ever! |
Sending prayers she will soon be home warm and safe again. |
Maybe if she could wait with some cooked hamburger, bacon or steak Rikki could smell it and come out of hiding to eat. |
I keep checking for an update! I hope she is found...and SOON! |
Yes, Fresh cooked Bacon is a great idea!!! Just zap some up in the microwave. Every dog in the area will come to you :) |

Rebecca has found more tiny paw prints. She & Christine are going to sit, quietly now, in her car, and watch the trap. Rikki has to be terrified to come out, so maybe if it is quiet, she will relax and come out. Rebecca took some very highly aromatic canned duck dog food and put it in the trap. She said it really smells! I am staying up, and waiting, and I promise to post, if I get a call from Rebecca saying they have her! |

Yes, I have seen the connection to the Nativity Scene from the beginning. I believe that Rikki was drawn to Our Lord's Manger, because God is watching out for her. My husband & I both believe, she returns to the Nativity Scene and sleeps there, each night, because she finds safety there, in a setting similar to where Christ was born. And I also believe, it was part of His plan for me to post here, in YT, about her being missing. I had been away a long time, dealing with health issues. And as soon as Sandra told me, I came here, and posted. And then, an Angel named Rebecca...offered her help out of the goodness of her heart. Coincidence? No. I've talked on the phone with her numerous times, and I will tell you, she is one sweetest of the young ladies I have ever spoken with...I'm anxious to meet her. I am so grateful for her determination. You're not rambling, you are making perfect sense. |
Praying that you find Rikki soon! |
Praying for good news this morning... |
Just checking in to see if any more news has happened over night. BIG prayers still going out. |
We've got our fingers and paws crossed for rikki and prayers are out there. |
Saying more prayers for Rikki that she will be found today!!!! Please God, let this little pup be found!!!! |
praying that we hear the good news that they found Rikki this morning!!! |
Rebecca & her husband are out there, now, searching. So, let's continue to storm Heaven with our prayers. Surely, Our Lord will answer the prayers of so many, |
I also just prayed to St. Anthony, patron saint of lost things. I'm sure St. Anthony would help a lost pup. |

OMG, the news is promising, I so hope they find her, so did Rebecca spend the night there???? |
Sheila, I am praying to St. Francis of Assisi too. With all of these prayers Rikki just has to be found! |
a prayer Rikki hope they find this lil one soon :lovewings A PRAYER FOR ANIMALS Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends the animals, especially for animals who are suffering; for any that are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry; for all that must be put to death. We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity, and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion and gentle hands and kindly words. Make us, ourselves, to be true friends to animals and so to share the blessings of the merciful. --- Albert Schweitzer --- |

Rebecca & her friend, Christine stayed there until 12:30 last night. This morning, Rebecca & her husband went back to search. Sandra, e-mailed me and said she had just heard from Elisa and she made the rounds, and found nothing. Rebecca said she would call me as soon as she knows something. |

If there is electricity at the manger, I wonder if a little space heater could be put out there. The warmth might attract the little one to curl up and sleep there... |

Her Mom, my friend Sandra, & I believe, she has found a very tiny spot, somewhere that wild animals cannot get to her, and only comes out to eat. She's been out there a week tonight, so we believe she is terrified of people now. The neighbors in the area have been alerted and have agreed to keep their garage doors propped open a little bit, and keep their porch lights on. Sandra is going to go back to Michigan from Canada, and resume the search. We think now, her voice might the only one Rikki will respond to. Sandra has raised her from a newborn pup, so she may be the only one Rikki trusts now. I'm praying she will go to Rebecca. |
I just said that to my husband last night....that I bet she wouldn't come to anyone's voice except her owner. I hope it is not too late. God please keep that baby warm and safe!!!!!!!! |
