Indoors, outdoors. It doesn't matter to Jack! He loves fetch everywhere. He fetches his braided rope, his stuffed ducky, his stuffed bone, his stuffed frog, he even fetches tennis balls! He is a big goof! LOL |
sadie will catch/chase the ball and run away...but my silky loves fetch and loves to bring it back and play it right...i have to put sadie up so bent. gets some good fetch time in. |
Roxy used to play fetch very well. Over time, she has developed it into a game of 'keep away'. When I go to get the toy, she will quick run, grab it & run. Pretty soon, she brings it back in my vicinity, wait for me to get it, grab it & run. IF I can get it first she expects me to throw it again for her. This is not the way she learned. Do I detect she has assigned herself as trainer here? lol! She probably decided something had to change, since I can't throw worth a hoot. : ) |
**Scoober my Schnorkie (miniature schnauzer Yorkie hybrid) loves fetch he will sit, if not I say "what do you do" and he'll sit (I hate when dogs jump at people for their toys) and I throw his, whatever toy it is, and he races off like a grey hound after it, brings in back chews a few times, drops it on command and then sits to do it all over again, he was always super receptive to any training when he likes what he gets out of it. When he tires he'll take his toy past me and go lay down with it **Elvis my Yorkie looks at me as though I am retarded when I try to get him to fetch-as though he's saying, "honestly do you think I'm going to act like a dog?" he has on occasion chased a toy and then thrashed it around dropped it made sure it was "dead" and then came back to resume his position on my lap...where he feels he belongs...really he's very prissy and kind of a snob! He lives up to being named after "the king" |
Cesar loves fetch, he would play all day if I let him. Sometimes he'll just bring me his rope, other times I'll tell him to go get it and he'll bring it to me and play until I stop throwing it. |
Emma LOVES to fetch her squirrel, bee, or whatever she chooses. However, you have to throw what she brings to you, otherwise, she won't fetch it. For example, she brings over the bee and you throw the squirrel, she won't go get the squirrel. She is also very insistent when she does want to play...she will keep jumping into the toy to get you to play with her. Carmel is lazy and just likes to lay in out laps  If there was an award...I think Carmel would definitely get the laziest dog award...:p As of right now, he is in my lap. haha |

Tess loves to play fetch, either a stuffie or a ball. For some strange reason she only likes to play fetch indoors. I think she thinks outdoors is for walking, running around, and chasing the neighbors cats who are 3 times bigger than she! |
Cerise is obsessed with fetch while we are at home. So much that I can not study, watch TV, read a magazine, or get on my computer in peace. She really takes it to a higher level when I get a phone call. I have to say "ENOUGH!" for her to go play alone or sit quietly for a few minutes. Sometimes she just stares at me as to say "how dare you not be my playmate right now!" |

Mine play "fetch and run to hide it under the bed so mom can't get it back." |
