I think Dink would play for as long as I am willing. Well, he has fallen asleep sometimes during a game, but he will run to fetch any squeaky toy over and over and over again. We are in the midst of nasty cold weather now, so he's got more energy than usual. So I throw and throw and throw! |
Peanut LOVES fetch!! He will play fetch with any toy, he doesn't mind!! His favorite is his bone!! He has had this dang bone since he was a baby, it is his LOVE!! He also likes to hide it, sometimes he doesn't remember where he hides it and DH and I have to tear the whole house upside down to find it, and its funny we wont even have to say a word and he knows what we are looking for!! The other fav game he likes it when you play pick a hand, where you hide his bone in one of your fists and he will sniff which one his bone is in!! |
Pixie loves to play fetch!! From the minute you come in the door, you better be picking up that ball and throwing it so I can run and get it. She also will play fetch with her bunnies. They best things she loves to do is stand at the top of the stairs and she'll nose her ball to start it rolling down the stairs for you to caught and throw it back to her. Most of the time she hits it with her nose to make it go back down, but then other times she hold it and grawl. Pixie and fetch go hand and hand. She can play it 24/7. |
both of mine love to play fetch, however Tia taught Olly how to do it and now its non stop fetch fun. Of course they both insist on carrying their balls home too , its so cute.:) |
Lexi also loves to play fetch. Anytime, anywhere. When we go for walks, she'll drop the ball right by my foot so that I can kick it for her. |

I hear you on this. Winnie will not stop. We have dedicated fetch time. We only allow her tennis ball for an hour a day. Then her squeeky toy, we can play with that and her rope all day too. sometimes I just have to get her to chew so i have time to let my arm rest! |
Persoenally , I think that most yorkies feel that fetching is beneath them. After all, were theynot put here to be pampered and waited on. :) On the flip side, mine have done a good job of eaching me to fetch for them. :D |
Rizzo only fetches for a grand total of 5-10 minutes at a time, and only inside. For a while I could get him to "chase" a ball, but he wouldn't ever bring it back if we were outside. |
Farrah loves fetch with a stuffed toy because then she can tease me and hold it longer. LOL she likes to play tug-o-war too. My little tuffy. : ) |

He's so weird... the only time I've ever seen him TRULY focused on a toy is in the summer by the pool... But he plays frisbee, ball and toys in our yard -- just no where else. He's a weirdo, lol. I guess I need to 'teach' him at other places to play fetch. |
Bella loves to play fetch. I am sure she would do it all day long if we would. She brings everything back and drops it at our feet. |
Obsessed with fetch would be more like it. Rory loves the small Air Dog tennis balls with squeakers, and Lane loves the rubber soccer balls with squeakers. That being said, if we left their balls out all the time, we would NEVER get anything done. They are forever rolling them under the sofa or other furniture that they can't get it out from underneath, so they bark for us to get it for them then repeat. You get the idea. So, we have a nightly ritual of 25 minutes of fetch every night with their "special" balls and the rest of the day they have to settle for fetching with one of their other zillion toys. I'm a mean mom I know. They have realized the "eggs" in egg babies toys are the most like balls and love to toss those under the sofa too. |
AprilLOve is OBSESSED with fetch!!! She would play ALL day 24/7 if I had the energy!!! Its all about the soccer ball, she will sit at my feet with it in front of her and demand that I throw it! She will even come into the bathroom when mommy is "busy" lol and drop the ball right at my feet, she doesn't care what I am busy doing, when she gives me the ball, it is MY job to throw it for her :D:D |

Indoors, outdoors. It doesn't matter to Jack! He loves fetch everywhere. He fetches his braided rope, his stuffed ducky, his stuffed bone, his stuffed frog, he even fetches tennis balls! He is a big goof! LOL |
sadie will catch/chase the ball and run away...but my silky loves fetch and loves to bring it back and play it right...i have to put sadie up so bent. gets some good fetch time in. |
Roxy used to play fetch very well. Over time, she has developed it into a game of 'keep away'. When I go to get the toy, she will quick run, grab it & run. Pretty soon, she brings it back in my vicinity, wait for me to get it, grab it & run. IF I can get it first she expects me to throw it again for her. This is not the way she learned. Do I detect she has assigned herself as trainer here? lol! She probably decided something had to change, since I can't throw worth a hoot. : ) |
**Scoober my Schnorkie (miniature schnauzer Yorkie hybrid) loves fetch he will sit, if not I say "what do you do" and he'll sit (I hate when dogs jump at people for their toys) and I throw his, whatever toy it is, and he races off like a grey hound after it, brings in back chews a few times, drops it on command and then sits to do it all over again, he was always super receptive to any training when he likes what he gets out of it. When he tires he'll take his toy past me and go lay down with it **Elvis my Yorkie looks at me as though I am retarded when I try to get him to fetch-as though he's saying, "honestly do you think I'm going to act like a dog?" he has on occasion chased a toy and then thrashed it around dropped it made sure it was "dead" and then came back to resume his position on my lap...where he feels he belongs...really he's very prissy and kind of a snob! He lives up to being named after "the king" |
Cesar loves fetch, he would play all day if I let him. Sometimes he'll just bring me his rope, other times I'll tell him to go get it and he'll bring it to me and play until I stop throwing it. |
Emma LOVES to fetch her squirrel, bee, or whatever she chooses. However, you have to throw what she brings to you, otherwise, she won't fetch it. For example, she brings over the bee and you throw the squirrel, she won't go get the squirrel. She is also very insistent when she does want to play...she will keep jumping into the toy to get you to play with her. Carmel is lazy and just likes to lay in out laps  If there was an award...I think Carmel would definitely get the laziest dog award...:p As of right now, he is in my lap. haha |

Tess loves to play fetch, either a stuffie or a ball. For some strange reason she only likes to play fetch indoors. I think she thinks outdoors is for walking, running around, and chasing the neighbors cats who are 3 times bigger than she! |
Cerise is obsessed with fetch while we are at home. So much that I can not study, watch TV, read a magazine, or get on my computer in peace. She really takes it to a higher level when I get a phone call. I have to say "ENOUGH!" for her to go play alone or sit quietly for a few minutes. Sometimes she just stares at me as to say "how dare you not be my playmate right now!" |

Mine play "fetch and run to hide it under the bed so mom can't get it back." |
