I have a few Coach bags and stopped buying them because of quality. Also, last year I bought a Burberry Bag ($1000) and four months later the shoulder strap started to come apart. I couldn't believe it. Fortunately, Nordstrom's has excellent customer service and took the bag back. They even gave me my $$ back, not just store credit. So I took that $$$ and threw in a little more and bought me a Louis Vuitton. I can say that bag is great and will probably last me a very long time. I take really good care of it, though.

As far as the carrier, after buying a few "cheapies" I broke down and bought the Kwigy Bo in silver and I love it. I use that bag more than my purse. It allows me to take Ruby everywhere and I use it daily, too.

To the OP: I think you'l find the Kwigy Bo is very popular among YT members and I have found that it really is a great carrier and worth the investment, especially if you want to take your baby with you everywhere.

For us, Ruby has become part of the family and it's just automatic that we pack her up to go , too.

Yes, most designer items are not only covered by the manufacturer's warranty but by a direct to customer satisfaction guarantee by the retailer. LV is definitely a quality designer-have got anything of theirs in like 7 years tho-poor me! I'm going to try the Kwigy Bo too just because the stroller 3 in 1 I found is so cheap I can afford and should probably get two just because I'll get my money's worth of use out of them...anyone have and use a Kwigy Bo that also has a "teapot" Yorkie-my Elvie-roo is 9 lbs.

I have some advice for anyone looking or a carrier -- go ahead and get what you want. I have wanted a Kwigy Bo as they are so well made and functional with the outside pockets. They are made for a Yorkie in size and proportion. But that price tag kept me away. Now I have half a dozen carriers and have paid way more than I would have if I had just bought the KB to start with! I do have lots of barely used carriers though! ;)

My favorite is an older Longaberger carrier, they no longer make. It was in the beige/black gingham check. It has an extendable handle, wheels, and is plenty big enough for me to tote two of mine at the same time. It is hard-sided so it is sturdy and would be great for airline travel. It has doubled as a crate for my little Annie when we traveled to my son's college football games. Most of the pretty bags I have, do not have the sturdy sides for flight but they are great for shopping and outings. I also have a Petote, a Vera Bradley, a Juicy, a Chromebone, and a couple of no-names.

Petote -- great if you have a larger dog, want to carry two or just like a roomy bag. Champagne color is gorgeous! This is a beautiful bag and comfortable for the pups.

Vera Bradley -- typical VB pretty and fun. Soft-sided, room for one. Comfy.

Juicy -- Black roomy enough for one, but not two, semi-soft sided. Not really my style. But I had a cute Juicy hooded shirt for Ben and thought he should have the bag to match. I never use it though.

Chrombones Hobo -- I love this bag (have a Coldwater Creek purse almost like it)but it is short in height. The pup must be small or lay down when in this bag. They usully do lay down when you carry them tho. It is the best stealth bag as it looks loke a purse and the black mesh ends do not show the pup even tho they can see out. Annie seems to like this bag fine but Ben (now 5 lbs) would not fit comfortably.

I have a $12 TJ Maxx bag that worked great for us in the beginning. It is blue cordory and has semi-soft sides. I would not use it on a plane, but it is a good "take to the vet" bag. Also have a hard-sided carrier/small kennel that I have taken mom and pups to the vet in. It is no fashion statement but protected the family very well.

So there are all sorts of possbilities! If you are really on a budget, might check ebay or Petedge for bargains. Another option is to look at the Yorkie Products for Sale threads here on YT. Most sell bags that are barely used. I bought a couple of mine here on YT and was VERY pleased with the condition! But if you had your heart set on one, I say save up and get what you want or you will wind up like me, still buying bags!

I totally agree... I have about six carriers laying around the house and now just ordered my kwigy Bo that I have wanted from the beginning. :rolleyes:

I have an 11 pound Jack Russell that thinks she is a yorkie. She would love to be toted around like my yorkies but I cannot do it -- too heavy on my back. But I did try. I found the heavier ones do better with the sturdiest carriers. The soft-sided designer bags are not the best to support their weight -- makes it very difficult to carry them. I can and do occasionally carry her in my Longaberger bag as it is harder sided and has a choice of handle, shoulder strap or extendable handle to pull on its wheels. It would be great for any teapot. They don't make the Logaberger bag, but there are several other models similar to them like the I GO 2.

I really like that bag! May have to take a gander at the pet store!

I absolutely love my carrier. It is by Brighton and it was a bit pricey (almost 300) but it is so classic (black and with dark brown leather trim) that I can take Cerise places and people have no idea it's a pet carrier because it looks like a nice shoulder bag.
