Yes, Max prefers his peas on a separate plate. He doesn't like anything wet in his kibble. Then I have to hand feed one pea to each boy when they are finished. We do something once, it gets added to the routine. :p
Wow. Sounds organized. From what I know about you, Max definitely sounds like he's yours!:D Is that Teddy who pushed Max out of the way in the video?

Yep, lol. I told you Maxman puts up with a lot from the little whippersnapper. :p

Max is the really dirty one in the vid, and Teddy is the jumper. I should have included the part where they run to their respective positions and sit to receive their food.

What do Cooper and Max do while you are preparing their food?

They really are gorgeous. Max sits and whines while Cooper barks in my face wanting me to throw the ball.

I never gave mine tomato. Gosh everyone puts like 5 kibbles in a bowl. My boys can eat! Ok, where's the whiney video?

haha! I have been thinking the same thing- mine are only 4 and 5 pounds and the whole bottom of the dish is covered in food and then some! :eek:

It's uploading. :)

Kaji could eat too if I let him. He's on a diet since he's still about a pound overweight. Too much weight is bad for his knees (grade 3/4 LPs in both knees :()

Awww. I just recommended to someone to give their dog Gerber Baby Puffs as treats. This was recommended to me. It may be a nice, healthy alternative or a new treat he may enjoy GERBERŪ GRADUATESŪ Puffs I use them as training treats.

What a great idea! I wonder if Jackson would like them, though. He's super picky. He won't touch cheerios.

I am in the same boat as you. Karen suggested the Gerber puffs so I'm going to check them out this weekend. My kids LOVE their treats and they are limited right now because Toby is still losing weight.

Cooper vomits when he eats cheerios. He loves these. We've only tried the banana so far and they both like them. There are many flavors and they make great training treats.

I should add that I really don't know a whole lot about nutrition and dogs so please do read the nutrition label. These treats were referred to me by kjc and I definitely trust her knowledge.

As all can see in my pics my Princess and Elvis are 9 and 14 lbs they both get 1/2 cup of kibble my Scoobers is 21lbs and get 1 cup-none of my dogs are overweight-they eat the kibble twice daily and get fresh vegi.friut and meat snacks for lunch (they eat it from my hand though as two will ignore it in their bowls and one will run and eat it all...in the same amounts 1/2 for 2 and 1 cup for 1. Kibble is for breakfast and dinner-we just switched to Taste of the Wild from Innova I'm weeding out the grains all together. Occasionally Elvis get Zuke's mini Naturals in his bowl to encourage him to eat-he randomly decides to fast...oh and Elvis only eats kibble once a day he eat Stella and Chewy's Raw patties for breakfast actually.

LOL! Thanks I just looked at the pic and was like WOW I need to clean up the bricks on the hearth-we painted them white and now when our winter muddy paws come in that's where they run to get their feet wiped! I left the measuring cup up there and the watering bottle! Princess being a Miniature Schnauzer has to drink from a water bottle-but thanks it needs a lil wiping down but I was like what the cream cheese everyone on here has dogs and knows how hard it is to keep up with muddy paws in the rain!

Are those like dehydrated bananas? I've bought some from Trader Joe's and Kaji liked them at first, and now he won't go anywhere near them. He does like dehydrated mangoes, but I forgot what type and got the wrong ones. The kind Kaji likes are really good. I eat them too. :)

Princess is the only one that won't wipe her feet coming in the door and will eat boots off her feet we're working on it-she actually ate Scoobers boots and Elvis well he's a woosy and won't even go in the mud! Actually we just gave her a super funky shaved feet cut because of our landscaping (we had to remove the rosemary bush as it induces seizures in dogs with epilepsy its a hazard for Elvis) we started removing one rosemary bush then a holy bush and then we removed two redwood trees and two apple trees in the yard-its random pud pits out there right now until we can grass seed. Scoobers and Elvis do pause coming in and get their feet wiped with the "dog towel" We do need some new boots do you make and sell some.hmmmmm
2. Yes! It's my saying! "Oh cream cheese" and "what the cream cheese" I've been around kids for too long-that I say it even around adults ye that and "excuse me I have to go potty" my adult time alone time consists taking a bath without interruption-besides Elvis coming in to investigate my bubbles, and of watching movies with the "F" word in them! :p

At least it's gotten better....when Alexander was much younger he would only eat out of one of my shoes! It didn't matter which shoe, as long as it was mine (I used to kick my shoes off just inside the door, so there was always a pair handy for him to use :rolleyes:). He would even take pieces of kibble and hide them in my shoes in the closet. I guess they were for his late night snacks? :p I don't really remember when he stopped doing that; I kinda miss having to empty out my shoes every morning. ;)

That's so funny! I've never heard of that before. That would have made a nice pic for this thread:)
Even if you put something so delicious they can't refuse, they still won't eat out of a bowl or plate? What if you just put a big t-bone in a bowl. Would they go near it?

I imagine they probably would then. :D They'll eat canned food or raw from a dish, on the rare occasions I feed that. They just prefer to eat their kibble from the floor for some reason. If I don't leave a little kibble on the floor when I fill the food dishes, they'll go to the bowl and get a big mouthful then drop it all on the floor themselves so they can eat it their way. :cool: I've tried ceramic bowls, metal bowls, saucers, etc. They want their food on the floor. :p
