Things your Yorkie loves to hate Teddy's arch rival is the UPS truck. He loves doing battle with the brown beast. When we are out on our walks and he hears the truck enter the neighborhood, he sits and waits. He barks like mad when the truck roars past us. Max loves to hate school buses and motorcycles. Once when we were stopped at a traffic light, a motorcyclist pulled up behind us. He was such a character with his vintage looking goggles and long, silver handlebar mustache. Max stood up on the back seat and barked at the man who leaned forward and gritted his teeth, making silly faces. The Maxman loved it! He was smiling, barking, laughing, barking some more as the two of them teased each other. :p |
Mine despise the garbage truck. I don't know if it's all the noise those guys make, or if it's because they're taking away all that yummy smelling stuff that my guys would love to roll around in. |
Oh boy...is this ever a thread I can contribute to:D Ruby loves to hate flies....makes me get the swatter out at the first sight of one. In fact, when she was young and a picky eater, I could get her to eat by pretending there was fly on her bowl....that fly wasn't about to eat her food!! Reno....loves to hate others interrupting his sleep....growls at anyone that tries to. He has a "circle" and you don't dare breach it if he is in a mood. He and my son can be the same way about being woke up when they are not ready to be. And....finally Razz.....this is where the list is extensive. Razz loves to hate the vacuum, broom, mops, cleaning anything with a rag, the cat (it's a chase thing with Yoda). What's so funny is that Razz's siblings and Mom share the some of the same traits as far as hating the broom, vacuum and mops. Can hating be genetic..lol Razz will actually attack the vacuum....while all the others either run or try to stay on the couch or chairs. great thread idea (for me anyway)!:D |
Scooter hates banging, knocking and the vaccum, Sadie is pretty easy going but she will not warm up to my son and it is so weird because Sophie was the same way. They both hate when Mommy has to leave them, that is the worst. They just sit in the window and cry until I come home. |
Adie loves to hate anything she doesn't see all day long 7 days a week, but the ironing board is her favorite thing to hate. Gracie loves to hate getting her face washed. (It takes two of us for Pete's sake) And Skeeter is so lovable he doesn't hate anything! |
This is a good thread, I am convinced all 3 of mine are a little OCD LOL Baxter: Cannot stand CLOSED DOORS (if someone is on the other side). If a door is closed, he will bark, whine, jump and spin in circles, and carry on like a bucking bronco until the door is opened and he is allowed to investigate who is inside and what they are doing. He also cannot stand his little brother trying to push past Darcy to get out the doggie door first. They both got "in trouble" from Hubby for jumping or walking over her to get out the door first (she moves slow), and Baxter has not forgotten. He runs beside Cooper and barks in his face when it is time to go outside, as if to say "hey, let sister go first!" He also hates trash bags. When we "flap" one before we put it in the can, he takes of running, If we pull one out and sit it on the floor, filling it up before we take it outside...he will NOT come in the kitchen. He will walk to the door, cry, and walk back, over and over, until we take it out! Cooper: Hates not being the center of attention. He has been known to run to the door and bark when I am having a cuddling session with Baxter or Darcy, so they wriggle to get down so they an investigate, then he runs back and jumps on Mom's lap! He also does not like birds, or falling leaves in his yard. He can spend a day barking and chasing after both! Darcy Hates the vacuum cleaner, and steam cleaner. She walks beside it, barking the whole time, and sometimes tries to bite the wheels. Goes berserk when she sees a big dog, (think lab or golden), she barks her head off at it, and then runs up to it, as if to "charge". Of course, they stop and look at her like she has lost her mind, and keep walking. She has gets so worked up she has went in to a seizure over this..so we limit her "front yard" time. Cannot stand anyone hugging or kissing her Daddy, she will bark the entire time! |
I have a kc cavalier who goes nuts when I throw anything down to the basement. Just picking up the empty laundry basket to throw down the basement stairs makes her nuts. She tries to chase it down the stairs and then the rest of the gang all run after her attacking. |
Mine hate the vaccum and the tape measure |
Poppy hates it when she is outside in the garden and she sees you inside watching her from the window. I dont know why she hates it so much but she will bark and growl at you, she only does this if she sees you standing at the window not the door. strange. |
Darwin hates cameras - can't figure it out but we have to hide the camera so he doesn't see it or we can never get a picture of him. Even the sound of the camera being turned on freaks him out. Our Pyrenees x goes ballistic whenever the huge snow grater comes onto our street. |
Gypsy hates mirrors. From our bed,you can look into our bathroom. THere is a mirror straight across from the door. When we first moved in here, we had to cover it with something. Since the decor is duckies in the bathroom, hubby covered it with wrapping paper with yellow ducks all over it. Sometimes she will still park towards it and we ask her if she is hunting ducks. |
Sophia LOVES to hate the cat, Ivan. She thinks she is the boss of him and will bark if he jumps on counters or does anything she deems suspicious. If we say "Ivan!" she will immediately start to bark and help put him in his place. He completely ignores her! |
All three of my dogs "hate" the next door neighbour who walks his Australian shepherds, they literally go ballistic at the front window. Other dogs can walk by, with a bark or two, no problem. That little Aussie gets the full stereo barking, even Magic joins in. Razz doesn't hate the cat, just loves to try to play with it .. aka terrorize it. LOL. Mainly though my dogs don't hate much. Just that aussie Great thread Kristin |
Buzz hates the sound of the coffee bean grinder...As soon as he hears me opening the bag, he comes running, from wherever he is and goes nuts...I think the sound aggravates him, like his barking does me ...Speaking of which, the girls' barks don't bother me, his is obnoxiously annoying lol... |
Uni doesn't hate too many things. The thing she hates the most I would say is skateboards, just like mommy. :D I think the things she hates, we kind of made her hate, like we teased her to not want to tolerate them. Oh yeah she hates it when bf farts in her face. She literally tries to bite him in the butt. |
Tallulah hates tags on anything, anything with a long handle, and intact pieces of paper of any kind. Yesterday she unwrapped all the packages under the tree at Yorkie Camp so she could tear up the paper. |
Toilet paper rolls. OH MAN! This is why I have to keep the door shut to my bathroom. :) Rhia loves to sneak in there and DESTROY them. She also likes to bark at anyone who walks by the apartment, but runs to the front door just in case they're visiting us. She loves people. :) |
Dinky will attack the broom. I don't know if he hates it or loves attacking it! |
Sammy hates the vacuum cleaner. If he's running around when I vacuum he tries to attack it! So I keep him in the kitchen when I vacuum. I'm afraid he will get his little paws caught in the vacuum. |
What a great idea for a thread! Couver: He hates skateboards, bicycles, scooters, runners, fast walkers or children. He will chase after and bark at all of these things. He also doesn't like dad kissing/hugging/or even touching mom. He gets upset/jealous/protective if his dad gets too close to me. He also dislikes strangers and men wearing hats/hoods or anything on their heads. He will bark his head off at them. He will also get jealous if Khloe is being loved on, and will whine so that he can get Khloe: She's very laid back, and will just bark whenever Couver does. |
Birds! She loves to chase them! She hates it when she sees other dogs running through the bigger yard outside her fenced yard. It makes her so mad!:D |
This is fun! Snoopy loves to hate sqirrels most of all. They seem to know just how far his tie-out reaches, and stay just out of range. But hope springs eternal. He also loves to hate the broom. He got into the habit of biting and growling at the broom when he would come in from outside. Sometimes he wants to go out, just to come in and attack the broom. And trash bags! He can hear the trash being emptied from anywhere in the house. And I have to say, no one has been attacked by a trash bag since we got him. :p |
Milli hates socks and shoes. I've been one to wear something on my feet for years. But now that Milli rules the roost, I go barefoot all the time! It's easier than fighting with her! LOL |
NO.... Cody is so head strong that "no" only makes him want to do what ever it is even more, from pulling on my socks to pulling my laces.... That crazy pouch! |
This thread is amusing, but darn I can't think of many things my 5 doggies hate. Only thing that comes to mind is that Karlee hates bath time so much, she hides when she sees the shampoo bottle come out. |
Oh... bath time. Definitely. Mostly the ear washing portion. Well, and the first part where she has to get wet...and then the shampooing...well and the rinse, and then getting her face clean with the washcloth, and her teeth brushed...and...and...and... Going potty in the rain ranks up pretty high on her 'list'. And when she first got here, other dogs. But that's mellowed somewhat. If she's in my lap already (when is she not?) and a cat comes to investigate in hopes of a vacancy, there's going to be growling, no mistake. Although she doesn't seem to mind them otherwise. I thinks she hates her own dreams. I can't tell you how many times I'll catch her yipping in her sleep. Oh, and if there's a male voice on the t.v. or radio she doesn't like. That means it's time to start barking and posturing. I have no idea why, she loves both my husband and my son. Mostly she loves to hate any time I go away. That is by far the worst. I wish she didn't have such separation anxiety, because I hate to see her upset. |
Like many of the posts....Copper loves to hate the vaccum cleaner - hides behind the couch, the coffee bean grinder - hides behind the couch, bath time - hides behind the couch...well you get the picture! |
Scoobers=the Pedipaw it makes noise and touches his feet-it's all bad to him. Princess= well the broom-which has never done anything to her-she has NEVER been teased with it- yet she will drag it out from beside the refrigerator and attempt to kill it, eat it and drag it some more to ensure it's not going to sweep anything...ever again. Elvis is generally a super social dog with other dogs; however, he has some serious issue with a neighbors giant poodle-as soon as I hear Elvis in the dining window freaking out growling and barking I know the neighbor is going by for her morning walk with her dog and has stopped at the mail box (just out our front yard). He's yet to meet the dog without a pane of glass between them and I'm not sure I would want them too considering his strong reaction-again he is super friendly with other dogs and enjoys playing with the other neighborhood dogs-both small, and extra large. |
