With mine, I sent out emails checking to see how all my "new parents" were doing at 3,5 and 7 months. At 9 mos I asked for pictures and sent out a collage to everyone. Some of my parents were curious as to how their puppy looked in relation to its siblings. I LOVED it because I got to see how all my little ones had grown. They are not Yorkies, they are Papillons so I have not talked about them on here. The closest puppy lives 45 min away but most are scattered through North and South Florida. I do not get to see them in person so a picture is great. I cannot imagine why a breeder would not want to see how the baby they helped grow is doing. |

Levi's breeder I have not kept in touch with at all. On the other hand, Lily's breeder is a member here and has become one of my good friends. I bring Lily to visit her at work from time to time so she can see how she is changing and growing. I also was able to meet both of Lily's parents before I got her. |

I can't imagine not keeping in contact with the new owners. I save each and every one of the pictures that are sent to me. I then go back and look at them MANY more times! LOL!! |

I don't really keep in touch with Layla's breeder. I have tried. I've sent pictures and updates and would just get a "Oh she is beautiful" answer, but nothing more. She never tried to contact me at any point. When Layla was paralyzed with her disk disease I did get in contact again, to let the breeder know that she has a genetic disorder. I wasn't looking for money or anything, just to give her the information because, obviously, it should be a big deal to the breeder. I definitely wasn't looking for what she said to me... that she was very sorry but she would give me a 7 year old recently-retired breeding dog to replace Layla! I have not contacted her again, and I will not. |
