I get to meet Miss Megan and Sherry Lynn face to face and I am so excited to see them. As much as I have tried to convince Sherry Lynn that I would be a great candidate for adoption, she still thinks the widget is cuter so I gotta kiss the kid goodbye and send her off to yorkie paradise. I am sure someone will remember to take pics....probably not me.

Hi Rini!

Jose and I have an understanding...if I drink more than two I must do a cartwheel, but I get to stay dressed.

Didn't have the energy for tie-ing anything anywhere. After Sherry Lynn and Megan left I sat down and started working on Gretchen's coat and fell sound asleep sitting up on the loveseat, brush in hand,dog on lap. busy week.


Sherry Lynn and Megan are as wonderful in person as on YT...except Poor Meggie couldn't barely get a word in edgewise between me and Sherry Lynn chattering away like magpies. They were polite enough to ignore my messy house and it felt just like having old friends over for a visit. I haven't a single qualm about parting with the widg...though Sherry Lynn may regret it when that kid starts ripping a racetrack through her new digs.

LOL !! I spoke with Rini on the phone the other day - Need to follow up on this - Wino's are ok :D long as it's the good stuff -

Now THERE is a woman I would love to meet too - (Rini)....AND ....Pat (YorkieRose) too - Can you imagine ?

I can personally vouch for Rini, she's all that and then some, and I suspect a certain Houston lady would also fit into that category.
Pat is also on my list of gotta meets.

Sherry Lynn, I know you must be in heaven. I so remember the day I got
my Crystal and this one looks like a little angel. So that this little one gets used to
it's new home quickly, I would make her something cardborad :D

Well I've had my cup of coffee and want to correct something from my above post,
just in case one of my teachers is still alive. change babies to baby's. Boy Stacey

Me neither! Apparently Mr T was unaware that the widget was incoming, so I am dying to hear the story of the surprise.

Joan, she's actually a year old, hence the clear gold. The widget was born last Oct with a PDA and needed to stay with me until she was big enough to do the less invasive laparoscopic repair and then recover and then be spayed. Trying to get 4lbs to stick on a girl who didn't know she was supposed to be 'unwell' and moved at the speed of light was a job and a half.
I have to give credit to my great vets who found the problem (I would never had known, she never had a symptom) and also to Dr. Sleeper at UPenn who did the fabulous repair job.

I just saw this thread! Stacey it was SO great meeting you!! I was ready to take Chance home lol. It was yorkie heaven with all those cute little babies running around!! I DID get to hold Widget all the way home, she was sooo cuddly! Sherry Lynn has this navigation thing in her car, and at first we named it Sylvan, but it was too cold hearted so we changed its name lol! :p

Excellent breeder, lucky dog and lucky owner. Yes, I'm waiting too but I have to get
to the grocery store.

I got an Excellent rating from Joan. My life is now complete.
probably a bit over the top, but I'll take it.

Still waiting to hear from Sherry Lynn...I am guessing that she is trying to figure out which blur is Dublin and which one is the widget....and considering using the navigation thingy to bring her right back.

I gotta go to work now. so I'll catch you all later! Hugs Megan!

Widget update!
 

Just now getting to the computer, with - count them - 2 little Yorkies running around my feet!!

The trip home was an adventure, as due to some new road construction my navigation thingy in the car couldn't help us and we made a big loop to get to Megans house. I think Megan thought I was going to kidnap her! I kept telling her 'I know where I am - I just don't know where you live!' :D

As I was pulling out from Megan's drive way, the hubby called, and the first words out of his mouth? 'You're out getting another dog, aren't you?' So much for surprises!!

Widget was trembling when I brought her in, so I held her while everyone checked her out. She snarled a couple of times at Dublin, so he was afraid to come near her. When I put her down, she'd jump back up and cuddle my neck.

Went to bed and he slept at my knees with her at my neck with the kerchief sent from her moms.

This morning is a whole different story!!

Once Dublin realized she actually walked and wasn't attached to my neck, he was smitten! Been up in her kool-aid ever since!! She still seems to want to be near me though her curiosity gets the best of her when she hears something else going on in another room!

So she's had a good breakfast, a good play session, and it looks like she's slowing down and ready for a nap, now!!

I can't thank you enough, Sylvan! Now Dublin is complete! ;)

Finally Sherry Lynn!!! I was waiting for you to post!! Now we'll have to plan for ME to get get one! :p

Oh yeah!! The diamond's really small and I'm actually a verrrry svelte size 2 with a gorgeous complexion, no gray hair and only one chin!!! (Sylvan just has a crappy camera!!) ;)

I guess I was too excited, because I forgot to charge my camera before I left home!! I have a gorgeous picture of Sylvan's hands and her coffee table before my camera died, though... :rolleyes:

Camera is charging now, so I'll post pics later - cuz' you KNOW I loves me some pictures!! :D :D

Megan, I thought you HAD one when we left last night!!! Wasn't it buy one get one free day at Sylvan Yorkies?

Megan fell in love with Chance, one of the MANY babies there. After we got in the car to leave she looks at me with a wicked grin and says 'Are you SURE this is Widget? Maybe I got Chance instead.' Which led to a bunch of 'not a chance' jokes! :D

Thanks again for going with me Megan! I had a great time giggling with you!! Sorry if I embarrassed you too much singing and dancing the Widget song and dance at the restaurant! But as my mom always told me - "You're young, you'll get over it!" :D
