Very cute! |
I agree -- that's quite a tribe you have. Must get pretty crazy at your house at times -- lucky you! |
Opi either greets me at the door in daddy's arms about ready to jump from him to me or just spinning, squealing, jumping, tail wagging like crazy at my feet when I walk through the door. and don't anyone get in her way of me or try to talk to me! I just love it! I haven't had that kind of greeting since my kids were little! lol A cute side note...our shepherd, Riley (daddy's little girl) never used to greet me...only if she was still waiting for dinner..now I guess she thinks there must be something really cool about me coming home! hahaha |
Reading all these posts makes me wish mine could be loose during the day more but we are still working on potty training. They are getting to about 75% to go on the pee pad. Right now I hear mine "calling" to me as I approach the front door. They must hear my truck drive up. :) Jillian jumps and wiggles and wants to give me kisses. Jackson acts just as excited but he does not give kisses and about half the time now he does not let me pick him up. He is skitish and has been the whole time we have had him (a whole 3 months). His breeder had 2 litters at once and a problem with one litter. She had to help with some feedings and his litter did not get the human interaction like she normally gives. He does watch Jillian though and I am super patient with him so he is learning that it is a benefit to let us interact with him. If anyone has any suggestions that I can use to help him continue to get over his skitishness I welcome them. I love them both to pieces. He just is trying to wrap me around his paw in a more subtle way. It is working too because I would do almost anything to make him happy and comfortable. :p |

If I am home all day, and have to run outside to get the mail or whatever, as soon as I come back in he acts like he hasn't seen me all day.:) |

Cute thread! Mine have 2 methods of greeting. Method 1: When No One is Home Complete silence when I walk in the front door. Cooper is sitting on the living room couch. Speechless. Motionless. I walk over to him and he starts to wiggle out of control. He begins whining and then jumps off the couch and proceeds to attack me by jumping up and kissing me. If I don't approach him, he will eventually come to me and love attack. At this point we approach the office, where Max is in his crate. Max repeatedly hits his head on the top of the crate trying to jump at me:rolleyes: I immediately open the back door because I know he may "leak" a little bit. I open the crate and the 3 of us run full speed outside. It is at this point that I'm attacked with love by 2 dogs. Method 2: I'm Home & My Partner Arrives Home Total chaos. The boys are running back and forth from the front door to the window continuously. The house sounds like a kennel. Cooper is frantically (and i mean frantically!) looking for his ball. He absolutely MUST have his ball in his mouth. Max is jumping up and down trying to be noticed through all the chaos. They both give kisses to my partner and now Cooper expects his ball to be thrown for the next 3 hours. |
Lexi's in a pen, so when she sees me she sits in her lil bed wagging her tail like crazy...doing this excited facial expression and bouncing her head. She knows i'll only open her door if she stays sitting and waiting. She's not allowed to come out until I say "come." When I say come she runs crazy!!! and then she licks me like crazy!!! running in circles sniffing my shoes to see where I have been. It's soo cute! then she sits by the door because she knows she's going outside to potty =D |
If I'm coming home to Morgan while he's fenced in the front room, I hear a banging at the fence and see ears and occasionally eyes as he jumps trying to see who's come home. Once he sees me he sits until I open the fence, then ears go down the tongue peeks out and he does a goofy high step walk to me and then puts the front paws on my legs till I kneel down to receive my kisses. If I've been out but someone's been with him he bounds towards me and then does the same high steppin' and paws on legs until I pick him up or get down on his level. He's remarkably quiet during either event though. More of a happy panting then anything vocal. He saves that for when I'm on my way out the door and he wants to have the last word ;-) |
Stuart is hilarious when I come home. He comes to the door, sits there with his little stub of a tail going insane while looking at me as if to say shut the door already so I know you're really home! Then I shut it and say "Hey little guy!" and he immediately Shoots off the floor into a frenzy! arms stretching as high as they can possibly stretch looking to get picked up...which is nearly impossible as he's throwing his body up and around in circles in excitement haha It makes me laugh and I just LOVE coming home to him haha He's the greatest :) |
It's so refreshing to get to share the happy things in life. I can't think of anything that lifts my spirits more than coming home to a pet that can't contain its joy in seeing me. The feeling is mutual. |
I love this thread! So when I come home, Lila is usually in her bed (although I sometimes catch her on my couch). When she sees me, she shakes violently and her ears are pinned back in excitement, but she stays in her bed. What do I do? I go on all fours, and she runs at me like 90mi/hr, and I have to quickly lift up my arms so she can jump into them. Then she loves on me until I put her down. |
Our Memphis is only 14 weeks but he's always full of loves when we come home. We also have two large labs so he has already mastered jumping on two feet while getting out of the way so he doesn't get trampled. Once I pick him up it's lots of yorkie kisses and hugs. This is the first small breed dog we've ever had so I'm enjoying being able to greet without fear of being knocked down the stairs like our labs are capable of. |

She picked that up when she was a puppy...I always put the leash on her when I would bring her out of her playpen to go "potty" and out we went...I have a pool so letting her out without it was a no no at the time...and I take her to work with me so we have to have it there...and just out of the blue one day while at work she barted at me and went over to her leash and grab it...so now when I come home she gets it or if I say "gotta potty" she will go get it...at work she just gets it brings it to me as to say I "gotta potty" its soo cute:p |
