At night I didnt stop putting Callie in her crate at night until she was 100 percent potty trained. She never tore stuff up that much except tissues or paper towels and only if they where right there she never sought them out but I still made sure the room was puppy proof. I never crated Callie during the day because she was never left alone. |
Fancy has been potty trained since she was around 7-8 months old and that is when she had full run of the house. On the rare occasion she is home alone she is great and has never destroyed anything. (normally she goes everywhere in her bag);) She sleeps with me and my husband at night and does not get up until I get up. She sleep all night long and never roams at night. I have never crate trained her because I was either home with her or she went with me when I would leave the house. When I first brought her home I would keep a leash on her when we were in the house and that way she was always with me in the house and I always knew what she was doing! |
Tink was fully housebroken at 5 months old and she has never been destructive. With that said I still have not given her full freedom. She does get full rein of my bedroom which is where she sleeps and all of her toys are kept. I just haven't felt like she needs to have full freedom. There are so many ways she could get into trouble being left alone that I would worry too much. It is easier to puppy/dog proof 1 room. |
