Keeping positive thoughts foe a safe surgery. She should be done pretty soon. |
She's going to be just fine. Don't let your nerves get the best of you. Positive energy always!!:animal36 |
Chloe is 7 months old and she weight in today at exactly 5 lbs. I know my vet will have to remove a few puppy teeth I saw 2 still in the front. I just know she is just going to be miserable, plus she is also my hyper pup so keeping her calm while she heals might be a challenge. I have my portable pen all set up for her. My vet said I could call at 4:00 to see how she's doing so I have 20 long minutes to go. |
1 Attachment(s) I think we all fear surgery on our little ones. I felt the same way with Zoey was spayed a few months ago. She did just fine and I am sure your Chloe will do just as well. The vet put her in a onesie to take her home. I kept it on her for about 5 or 6 days (washing when needed) so she wouldn't lick. Here is a picture. |

I would not be happy if the teeth were not done at the same time. But the positive news is that she is doing great and can come home. Be sure to watch for loose stools. Zoey was up and at it the next day. Boy, they can recover very quickly - too bad we can't do the same. I wouldn't worry about the teeth right now. You can always get it done later as long as they don't change her bite. Cherie |
Chloe is home the poor little baby looks all doped up. My vet didn't take out any of her teeth he said she only has 4 back puppy molar teeth left and he said they would probability come out on their own. He did polish her teeth. I'm not to happy about this I wish he would have pulled them like I said I wanted. He said the EKG and all the blood tests came back perfect and that she was a healthy little girl. She resting now. |

That is very odd that the vet did not remove her pupper teeth. The best time to do it is when they are in for neuter/spay so they don't have to go under again later if the teeth don't come out on their own. You can encourage the teeth to come out by playing with safe tug of war rope toys or other chewing toys. :) |
Glad to hear all is well and she is home resting. |

What are they looking for when the blood work is done prior to neutering? |
I am so glad Chloe is home safe and sound. Those molars may still come out on there own. |
He been my vet for 30 years now and I do like him. He has always done a great job caring for my dogs. He cleaned and polish Chloe's teeth and said she had tartar on a few of the back teeth. He said he'd check them again in a few months but he thinks they will come out on their own. The rest of her adult teeth came except for the two front bottom teeth so he said she is still losing them. I just hope they do fall out on their own. |
I'm so glad that Chloe is home resting. She'll feel much better now that she's in her own home being loved and cared for by you. |
I'm glad your lil girl is home safe and sound.:) |
