| Hello Yorkie Friends from Macy and I! Hello Friends! My name is Megan and I live in Cincinnati, OH. About 2 weeks ago when my family and I went on a vacation to Gatlinburg, TN, we took our little precious doggie Macy with us. One night she woke me up panting and she was having a hard time to breathe. We took her to emergency vet right away and we were told she had cancer. I wouldn't believe that because she was doing just fine the day ago. The vet said the best option was to put her down because she wouldn't be able to make the 4 hr drive from TN to our home in Cincinnati. Luckily we asked for 2nd opinion from another vet when he came in. It turned out she had tracheal collapse. We gave her calm pills to take on our way home and that whole week was terrible. She struggled and we didn't know if she was going to make it. We took her to our vet near our home and gave her more medicines. Now she is doing much better and more playful. She is finally able to sleep on her own. When she was sick, we had to put her on our lap and pat her to sleep... otherwise she would not sleep. The medicines are helping so much. Thank you, God. While she was sick, I researched all over the internet trying to find more information and that is when I came across this forum. I had been meaning to sign up, but I had been busy. Today I said to myself that I had to sign up TODAY and I did, lol. Now about my doggie. Her name is Macy and she is six years old. My parents got her for my birthday when she was 7 weeks ago. Now she is my little princess and I do call her my best friend. Why Sassy in my username? I don't want to leave her out, but she was my 1st doggie. She was a daschund and she had cancer a few years ago. Had to put her down. My best friend too. Here is the picture of Macy and I. I look forward to meeting all you and your Yorkies!!!!
